There are now two people in the UK who fitted the first batch of these 19t turbos, so far both very happy and no issues. Full spool is around 3400rpm looking at the logs, I was at the Dyno two weeks ago and they made 554/600lbft at 22 psi and 7 degrees timing with 99 RON fuel only.

Great!

I ran GC turbos anywhere from 25 psi to near 30 psi at the end. Saying these aren't true TD04s I can tell you they performed great.
I had to limit boost in low rpm to minimise the risk of bending rods. They are more than enough for a stock N54 block.
The China 17Ts have performed very similarly so I can only imagine the China 19Ts will be great. Plus at such a low cost it's not going to break the bank to try them.

I’ve contacted the garage and they said that the mechanic most likely lost this gasket and took another one for installation. If one of the ports didn’t had a gasket you would clearly hear and smell it, which sounds plausible.
On the other hand it would be quite strange that this gasket would balance on the core all the time.
Tomorrow the car will go on the lift for inspection, I’ve got a borescope to check the oil feed line.
Until now I haven’t noticed smoke out of the tail pipes during decel or WOT.

We've got a answer ..

Mistakes can happen ofcourse, but to stand firm to assure me they have placed the gasket with another one is going to far.
These idiots never touch my car again.
I am lucky the seal seat isnt damaged.
Hot exhaust gasses can cut like a freaking knife.

That was my initial thought, new head/engine time. Glad to hear it did not do any serious damage.

it looks a lot like the turbo VTT F-RB

DAW sells the VTT F-RBs now but under their own name, same turbos. Hopefully they don't have the same issue with the compressor nuts coming off grenading the turbos.

Stuff is all made in china. Anyone willing to buy a pallet can get them with their name on it. Want some spoolstreet turbos? Just pick the model you want and send them an image file for your logo.

Yeah looks like these:

The exhaust manifold looks to be a bit more finished, cast line is gone and then the logo of course, 9 blade vs 11, plus true v-band instead of what looks like a press fit sort of attachment hard to tell. I'm sure there are other differences. I suppose you could remove the press fitting and replace with a v-band. Would sure be nice to be able to remove turbos without having to take the exhaust manifold off.
