Let me know when twins do 800wtq at 4k ;)

This is a stock n54 with a smaller EFR turbo roughly equivalent to a PTE 6266. I say roughly as we know a 6266 maxes out at 800whp on an n54 + dynojet.

Ah yes the VTT dynos that no one else can seem to replicate. I am aware I just take them with a grain of salt. Is there a 3rd party dyno that did the same?

https://www.n54tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=55219. <-shop car but not touching those numbers both with cams. +70whp/260wtq peak. Far from a 3rd party. Not that I have any reason to believe BMS would fudge anything.

If everyone could make numbers like that why would anyone buy a single? Or am I missing something? Reliability can't be it alone...everything in the 700 and 800 club(on this forum) are basically singles.

Fair point, haven't seen a 3rd party come close. Terry mentioned they dialed spool down significantly, wonder what they'd hit if they actually beat on it.

Reliability and cost are big reasons. The available twins have to be run at the ragged edge to hit these numbers, there aren't really any twins out there capable of a reliable 700+ or 800+ short of spending insane $ for the VTT Stg3 or ViE topmount twins. VTT rates their FRB for that much power but like you said, grain of salt. With single kit prices coming down a lot in recent times it's practically a no brainer to switch.

international shipping for single kits is a pain. There very few single turbo kit sellers that ship to canada. Were as everyone ships twins internationally.

Turbos still have not arrived. :/ The second update was 20 days or so ago that they would be ready in 10 days.

Rob says he is experiencing delays but whatever this delay is it's way past the expected delivery date.

I'm starting to get frustrated now as the car has been sitting up on stands so long.

@TheFixer same boat as me I see. My Gamefinishers were supposed to be ready in December. Although he didnā€™t collect payments, as he didnā€™t want to hold others money. Weā€™re coming up on April now though. And Iā€™m getting impatient.
Good news, my 535i is going on a dyno today and we will see how much the OEM BILLETS make.

OEM BILLETS on E85 mix or pump 93?

FWIW, and I think we all know this, supply chain issues everywhere. It does not seem like it will ever let up. Everything in supply is fucked 6 ways from Sunday.

Itā€™s running on a E50 mix.

And yes thereā€™s supply chain issues everywhere. I believe Robs shop was hit hard by covid as well.

He didn't specify what the delay was. But it's likely supply issues.

My e46 vert got hit back in November and it's now finally getting repaired because it was waiting on a rear quarter panel. They also added another 1500 to the repair cost because the parts prices went up......ugh.

It's a load of šŸ’©
I caved in couldn't wait.. So i drove down to CTS and bought some turbos. I just need them for this summer.
Rob's was taking a little to long and with me changing careers didn't want to dump money on the single setup i want at this exact moment.

You need to start applying as a beta tester for various twin turbos. I'm sure Franken would've gave you a set of the same turbos
