Hello everyone. To begin, I apologize for my poor English. In a few months, I'll start my engine build. I have a 335i E92. My turbos are Hydra HP800 Gen2, the fuel is SP95 (EUR) with a little methanol...the goal would be to get closer to 700 WHP. I'm also going to install Guru's 6HP28 conversion kit. I'd also like to have a slightly shorter rear axle drive without having to sell a component. An M3 kit is financially inaccessible for you. I found an alternative...take one from a 325i E92...it's a 3.73...apparently, there would be no need to modify the driveshafts. You just need to use the 325i's driveshaft. This is for street use only...no standing start. Has anyone ever done this setup? What do you think?

forget the 6hp. It is shit.

Get an 8HP or a DCT and you will love it. I had a 6HP and now i have a DCT car and 8hp car. SOOOOO much better.

I understand your point of view... my 6hp21 is suitable for my use... but it won't hold the torque sufficiently... on the other hand, the 6hp28 will. I live on a small pebble in the Indian Ocean... the impression is complicated. The DCT is hard to find and very expensive. The 8hp70... I don't like the gear selector... nor the fact of having a programmable TCU... but that's just my opinion. There are no bad "choices"... we make them according to our objectives 😉... But anyway... that doesn't answer my question 😅

you are right. I can´t answer your question. Sorry. Just wanted to give you the hint that with a DCT or 8HP (does not need to be a 70) turns your car and the whole feeling into the next generation.

Good luck with your project!

@seb.apprenti Do you have a threaded nut @ the diff input or a 3-bolt flange?
Hi Omar. It's a flange with 4 screws. Here's the part number: 33107566179 I have the impression that the 335i output shafts can be fitted without modification. The idea would be to use the rear axle drive and the transmission shaft from the 325i. 26107551199 ... Technically, I don't see what could be a problem, but I don't have the spare parts on hand. It's only theoretical.

The 8hp70 would be ideal, that's true... but there are some modifications to be made that I don't want to make. The 8hp45 fits without modification... but the problem is its resistance to high torque. The DCT... is outrageously expensive. ... The automatic transmission change is only being done to be able to handle the torque of my future project. Thank you very much for your advice 🙏

@seb.apprenti If the diff you're swapping in has the same input-flange style as the one on your car, It should fit without problem, We've done a 3.73 conversion on a 6AT 335i before.
The inlet is different, but the outlet is apparently the same (86mm) So I'll try to find these two references 26107551199 and 33107566179 This will allow me to make a quick and easy installation Thank you very much for your feedback 🙏

I dicussed it with Seb a little bit earlier this week, using the 330i AT prop shaft should work as the N53/N52 are roughly the same lenght as the N54. So that diff swap should be almost pnp if you get the prop shaft with it.

Only thing that will need to be changed is the AT trans output flange, the mounting diameter is bigger on the 335i trans flange.

The central spline adjusment should be enough to account for the difference in lenght for his 6hp28 swap.

The question i have is, how well will the 188 diff deal with the torque :D
