No sinks on the O2s. Adv sensors are designed for this purpose. I’m not sure how they’ll hold up I’ve time but I’ll c oss that bridge when I get there.
Other issue was engine mount to down pipe clearance, air filter fitment. For the former I just ordered a single turbo engine mount from ad eng. for the filter I just used a screen like most st guys are doing.

Im gonna run sinks and NTK's, i mean the motiv manifold runs sinks?

i was hoping to get away with this little guy, have you tried anything in/around this size?

The Motiv kits get away with syncs and ADV sensors...

Sinks*
im in no rush, it sounded like a down pipe/post manifold option would be available soon'ish?
also where are you guys actually finding the ADV sensors? all i can find is "Out of Stock"

I've had mine for a few years. Outside of contacting Motiv to find out, I don't know what to tell you.

Yeah i will shoot an email to them, Not to hack it up but doesn't Bosch offer LSU4.9/ADV sensors straight from there own catalog? ie Bosch PN (0 258 027 052) etc..? I use a 4.9 (in the downpipe) on my other turbo build (m30b37 ms2x) and it was an off the shelf item i had to repin.

Since they are out of stock for the pre-made ones, im not beyond just repining one of these, the 5 pin connector BMW uses is widely available.

Thoughts?

yeah thats looking like the plan, until they are in stock regularly or the down pipe option becomes real. Got my manifold today :)

Also aside from just adding heat sinks, ive seen people on rennlist (i know its ugly) use copper plates to draw more heat out, cheap and worth a shot right?

Great idea. This is a pretty cool project going on. Can't wait to see results! Always better to have more options.

Tinkering is always fun lol
so ive found people using PCB heat sinks, but they are all AL which isnt terribly great at only like 140/btu, im gonna Purchase some copper pcb heat sinks, which is closer to 210/btu. Shouldn't be to terrible to make/try with the drill press and an old 02.

These coupled with the screw in sinks (basically big copper washer lol) cant hurt right?

Has anyone else running this manifold run into boost creep? My tuner thinks that may be why I’m seeing 18 psi even at 0% WGDC but the wastegate looks properly sized and positioned to me

I never had any boost creep. What size wastegate and what brand? I’m running a 44mm tial mvr. Any update with the boostbox issue you were having?

44mm XS power. It would hold a steady 10 psi when I was running it on just the spring though. Yeah my original boostbox was defective so they sent me another one and it's been working great so far

^^^my money is on that Gate. I have had 2 XS power gates stick and cause creep, they would bind on the valve stem about a 1/4 of the way up. Taking them apart and cleaning up the machining would help for a little bit, but they always stuck.

I would try a different gate, but YMMV.

That's kinda what I was thinking.

My plan was to just use this cheaper wastegate to mock everything up and check for leaks etc, but I don’t think it’s the issue since it holds a steady 10 psi when I run it on just the wastegate spring.

I scheduled a dyno tune with my tuner for the 31st because we’re having such a hard time etuning it

Here’s the latest log (overboosting):

Here’s a wastegate only log:

I love jerry rigging shit, and that copper plate looks ghetto as hell lmao

I used these heat sinks with NTKs on my single turbo, no issues so far after 25+ dyno pulls, maybe 15+ street pulls, and a 250 mile road trip. The tip is a venturi so AFR readings are unaffected, the sensors are just a touch slower to respond than if they were directly in the exhaust.
