I really want to get some weight off my 09 e82 135. I had a e46 330ci b4 my e82. While the e82 has alot more power, it also always feels heavy round corners.

So, i m looking for some ideas from you guys on what can be remove to save some weight. My car is a daily, so a/c and interior kind of need to stay...my car already dont have very much options. Has manual seats, no idrive, still has sunroof tho. Would like to remove sunroof or replace the glass if possible.

Is there a carbon roof? Might be a lot of work but that's one step better than just deleting the sunroof.

How heavy are your wheels? There is the unsprung weight to think about, driveshaft, flywheel etc. I think race seats, battery, hood/trunk and aluminum exhaust are some of the first things you could take a peak at?

Carbon roof would be a lot of work and very expensive.
Already have a mfactory flywheel waiting to go in. Carbon drive shaft, hood, and trunk would be nice. But will add up and get pricey very fast. My wheels are 23lb a piece, which is not light but acceptable for me especially i dont have the heavy runflat any more.
Was hopeing to find stuff than can be remove and save weight. Or something that wont cost me an arm and a leg.

How much are you hoping to trim?

I think the battery is probably the cheapest/most common without stripping interior and that kind of thing.

Remove rear seats if not needed and replace front seats with an aftermarket light weight alternative. Some models have a weight bar in the rear bumper, it weighs 22lb.

It's hard to shave weight off the front, most of the easy weight comes off the back. Engine bay cowl is an easy one that's in a high position.

I dont really have a set number i want to trim. More looking for most cost effective way to save weight i guess?

So far seems like carbon hood, front seats and battery would be a good way to start.

3.5" single exhaust - I think the VRSF (might be 335 only though) saves around 45lbs. I think there is a company that offers a 3.5 single for the 135. Im sure it has similar savings.

Yes, black market racing make a 3.5 single exhaust for e82. Only problem is i cant have an exhaust thats this loud. Have kids in the house, wife probably going to kill me, so i still have stock muffler on, no cats tho.
