Given how well the bigger turbos (lighter wheels, new aero profiles, mixed flow turbine, etc.) from Garrett and BW can perform these days with a proper twin scroll manifold, I just don't see why go through the trouble of fitting an aftermarket twin setup. Running the 2x the supporting hardware just doesn't make much sense to me.

sorry just saw this. basically because its the way we personally think the car should run. BMW designed the entire N54 around a TT setup. Now, how to make it keep that OEM greatness and push it to the max?! A proper TT setup. Although really difficult... it will yield the exact results we want. It takes a ton of parts but if you are in the proper field the plumbing complexity is the only real big factor. This particular kit uses TONS of home made parts however big high dollar ST kits run a lot of double parts also (such as wastegates ect.). I wanted a kit EXACTLY like this, and twin 3071R's spooling sound AMAZING, the car drives around like stock but under that pedal is so much power and you know its just right there. its perfect! IMHO

hey, no problem. i thought my post was coming off to be too negative and Tony like, you just ignored it lol.

This is honestly a sweet build, and I am very curious to see how it actually performs when it is finally done. Granted, I still think the appeal of this kit is very very niche in an already pretty niche platform.

I wonder if the kit would be a lot simpler with a pair of EFR 6758 IWG, so you don't have to deal with the EWGs.

the each of their own i guess.

i thought the whole point of your twin setup is keep the factory like twin setup... IWGs on the small frame EFR works really well and won't rattle like the stock turbos since they only open up at peak boost if you control them with the same mac solenoids people use for ST setup.

btw, anything ever come out of that billet auto trans pan that you messaged me about a few years back?

Yeah all my side projects are still on. Have a few custom plans for when the car comes back to Florida. It’s in the works. Want the car done for real world testing. But in short yes ;)

***Hey guys the other forum was pestering me and an email
caught my eye; So i figured I owe everyone this, my same response i copied and pasted ill get more for you guys soon, thanks for being less... yeah, than the guys in "other forums". Thank you for the support from some of the long time fans***

Woah! sorry completely forgot about forums and what not.

Ill type something long and detailed up soon, bottom line up front I have had the car back for a few months CPE moved to Spartanburg and I wanted to play around with it before winter. CPE's dyno was among the first gear to move to the new 300,000 sq foot facility (freaking massive). So we rented one here and were kinda rushed had one hour to try to dial everything in, O2 sensors are fouled lol AFR readings were a little out of wack but we were done for the day, wasn't performing very well at all acting all weird on the dyno still a monster of a car but Im not gonna put any of it out there until its properly dialed in. CURRENTLY CPE and the engineers have to be up and running by the end of the month so its been panic time, i moved to Maryland, they came out with a whole bunch of new stuff and this kit will still officially be released but obviously the move and hurricane Florence has been our main concern. If your in the Anne Arundel county area we can meet up and you can see for yourself. But cars in my garage on jack stands waiting on a 22mm crowfoot to come in the mail because the rear pre-cat o2 if you think is hard to get to with stock turbos is a real PITA with big ones lol. ummm yeah so thats where we are, i work at a new place here so sorry I been a little crazy with some other life events and i apologize, saw some of the update emails and never got around to posting anything, if you follow my IG you will see its not "vaporware" lol. annnnd yeah after I get these new O2's on ill try and find a dyno out here and square things away and get y'all your data. Come winter ill be sending her down south to the new Spartanburg facility where it will be doing shows racing and all that jazz. Maybe even more tuning. they got all winter because you cant do anything up here anyhow.

I love the car! sounds amazing, pulls like a freight train and isn't even dialed in lol. GoPro is mounted in the car as we speak just finished running new MHD wires behind the dash waiting on the damn O2's then went to install with my O2 socket, doesn't fit.. now waiting on 22mm Crowfoot and special swivel. Feel free to ask questions or hit me up on my Instagram I am much more receptive there (less haters).

Sorry again just didn't have time for anything with what was going on in my life. but its stabilizing out now and I am all moved in.

I was wondering what happened to this car. Bummer it wasn't running right and that you don't feel like posting the logs because of it, but I understand.

I really like the idea of this kit, and at some point wayyyy down the road if my MMPs give out I may modify the manifolds and purchase some larger turbos for a custom setup similar to this or the VTT S3. I'm glad to see there's still development going on with twins for these cars, as much as I do like some bottom-mounts I agree with your and cpe's sentiment about twins being what the N54 was made for.
