ST Overboost

Hello everyone haveing an issue with my 2012 bmw 335is DCT.

It runs great map 1,2and 3 holds boost targets and everything seems great. Come map 4 it overboosted pretty bad tried another slight pull same result.
Now trying to figure out what to look out for or start double checking. Any help greatly appreciated. T

Jb4 with mhd
Jpworkz 6466 bottom mount twinscroll DBB
Vador stage 3 dual 450s
Vrsf FMIC 7.5
Docrace intake manifold with portinjection
72lb injectors
Burger motorsports PI controller
Hobb switch
Mac solenoid
-6 upgraded fuel line feed
Tial 50mm BOV
Index 12 injectors
PR Workz ignition coils
97506 spark plugs
Phenolic spacer

What spring do you have on your wastegate? also can you post pics of your setup?

15 pound spring.
I have some more pics at home i can post some more today. But i have a few on my “SavedIS” build post on here.
And i went to jb4 blue tooth and having a hard time converting my logs to graph it keeps telling me need to set parameters but wont show log i just get the number file

My guess is it's your wastegate adaptation/FF or duty bias settings for Map 4. I believe the single turbo firmware has map specific settings for each. It's not global like it was on twin turbo firmware.

Really need to see a log to see what's going on. I guess you can start by making sure the duty bias is 50 at all rpm for map 4 and set FF low and let it learn up.

Set your wastegate adaption to like 3 and that should fix your issues.

lmao I made this same mistake once accidentally set FF too high, overboosted to 32 psi on map 3 and damn near shit myself

your FF is set way too high for map 4. try manually entering 30 and make sure PID gain is at 25, see what it does.

His FF is only about 4 for 20 psi and wgdc follows FF pretty good. 30 may be too high for map 4.

Lol yea it scared me to see those numbers. Its been raining everyday since I posted this just waiting for a nice day and ill change FF and try it out hopefully that will fix it.

Look how tight the WG spring is. Like 5% WGDC is hitting 20psi already. Set FF to 1, duty bias to 50, on every map, and let FF learn up from there.
