I finally got my single turbo running right a few days ago. Yesterday the car went back on the dyno, I hooked up my laptop and and sent it. Mod list:
  • Gen2 6266 dbb, Doc Race turbo kit
  • NTK pre-turbo O2 sensors with Innovate Motorsports venturi heat sinks
  • DIY twin 450 LPFP, 15 psi hobbs
  • MMP Gen1 PI (with the infamous chinesium injectors)
  • Precision Raceworks FPR / Return line
  • R8 coils / NGK 97506 @ 0.024"
  • VRSF 7.5" IC and charge pipe
  • Motiv closed deck N54 short block (stock head and cams)
775 WHP / 702 WTQ (uncorrected)
786 WHP / 712 WTQ (SAE)

Tuned by me (@veer90). Custom MHD flash / standalone AIC map / JB4 map 6. I believe this is the new N54 6266 hp record.

All pulls were done in 4th gear, we tried getting RPM pickup but it wasn't working. Dyno cell conditions were 94°F and 45% humidity. I planned on advancing timing until MBT but had to stop when my Spec 3+ clutch began slipping mid pull 0__o

Wow ... first time around, impressive numbers. Congrats! What are you thoughts on next steps - any?

You beat me :tearsofjoy:

As I said on Facebook, awesome results! I wasn't sure how much more my setup had in it, but I think this gives me a pretty good idea. I would love to look at the log if you have a link to your Datazap.

You're a ballsier man than I am. 13.5 AFR @ 32-33psi :dizzy:

Mine was at 10.5 AFR at 31psi because I'm a puss. Log looked good otherwise!

lol rip. didn't notice the blips. you're right I should take care of that.

gotta redo the fuel scalars again smh I hated copy pasting for bank 1 / bank 2

Is this a 6266 n54 record? I just saw one last night of 770 coincidentally but this one is still higher

I'm not sure about the record.

It wasn't my 770 whp pull was it? I sent it to a few friends in the groups last night as I was tuning lol

I do believe @suspenceful had the old record at 75xwhp...this is (as far as I know) the new record.

Also, this shows that the PTE guide showing the 6266 is good for 800whp max is right on point. I'm betting that someone with a ported and polished head on upgraded cams would max this bugger out right around that mark.

Impressive results and a great looking E90! Something about ARC-8s on a this era BMW that just looks so right. I'm glad to hear that the NTK sensors are working out for you. Mine have held up now for over 10,000 miles of daily abuse with no issues.

With a built bottom end, what's stopping you from pushing it further once you get a twin-disc in there?

PTE doesn't publish compressor maps, but at this boost level this turbo is bound to be running out of steam. Doubt there's much left in reserve.

Definitely not much more left in the turbo, wgdc % was in the 70s up top.

Timing wise there may be more depending how close I am right now to MBT.

Let's see, I'd also need a map sensor and maybe bigger port injectors.

Side note, I don't really feel like finding out how much torque it takes to break a stock driveshaft lol
