Did you ever get your kit??? Or hear back from the owner?
I Bought set of H-rods from him on last november, never got anything. He just keeps telling me how he already shipped me 2 sets. First one "disappeared" , then he "sent" replacement. Asked tracking code multiple times, no answer or just stupid excuses.. Fortunately he made refund without any objection.

Just thought I’d share if anyone was trying track this vendor down due to a purchase not received. It looks like he is selling this kit on eBay.

Jake Spence got his tho aye
Of course he did.

So I don't have the ovaling issue but did a bit of research on the kit/company a while ago and unfortunately there's a lot of sketchyness. Every 5 star review on the product is written with the exact same grammar/spacing/capitalizations.. If the kit's legit it would be a lifesaver, but the company isn't doing themselves any favors atm.

I saw a vendor selling a kit to repair the injector bores. The kit is outrageously overpriced at $499 would love to put together a parts list and see also what you gents think of the kit?
Located here:
I don’t know how you can call this overpriced. Compared to what? The time it would take me to make these parts on a lathe is worth more than $500 (to me). Maybe if he were making 10k at a time it would be cheaper but I know he isn’t because they are never in stock. I ordered these parts 2 months ago and he won’t ship and he won’t respond to emails. I’d pay $1000 for them at this point so even if you ordered them at retail price you could make $500 off me. Go source them for $100 and you got $900 profit selling them to me.

Yup. I’m in the same boat. I order in July and he never shipped. Waited till he confirmed they were in stock and ordered again but he won’t ship or respond to emails. I had a friend email to see if they were in stock and he replied immediately that they would go out that day. 2 weeks later he hasn’t replied to emails, given me a tracking number or just shipped the damn things.

Hello.

I own PPI. This is my kit. It’s not expensive. It’s appropriately priced for the time we spent last year going back and forth to R&D this insert. Finding the exact perfect tolerance to not just make a good seal but improve the seal over stock. Then trying different types of materials that seal best against the teflon seal. Then finding the exact perfect spot to stop the tap at so the fitting can’t ever go to far into the combustion chamber. Then testing on cars for a few thousand miles to make sure there are zero issues. This alone was tens of thousands of dollars out of our pocket over the year. You have to think of the heads we wasted drilling and tapping, cost of cad software, hundreds of design hours with revisions, machine one off fittings that don’t work and we have to go back and try again. What about a engine we test a prototype on that doesn’t work. Now it’s junk, a lot of money goes into designing this. Yes a little piece of metal is cheap. The r&d and design is what you are paying for.

I am the only one who thought of this idea and spent the time, money, and resources to make it and make it perfect to save people from replacing heads and engines. I did this because I’ve seen everyone complain for years ask why no one has come up with a fix for this yet. Replacing engines and heads are not cheap. Let’s say you do a engine. Well that’s a couple grand with fluids. Plus labor if you pay a shop. And you could still end up with the same issue. Plus week or two down time.

How about a head swap. Well to do it right you need to machine the head flat, gasket set, lots of time, timing tools etc. again couple grand after fluids and all. Plus labor if a shop does it and again may still have the same issue.

My fix for $500 is way cheaper then any alternative you have ever had on this platform to fix this issue correctly. Plus no down time. You turned a two week repair at $2000+ into a $500 1 hour job! I spent a lot of time last year developing and testing this.

Of course I knew after all said and done. Someone would buy one and try to reverse engineer it as that would be easy. And you just saved tens of thousands in R&D. I’m not stupid. I knew that would cross someone’s mind.

That is why I made sure our attorney filed all the patent paperwork before I released it. So if anyone reversed engineered it, I could shut them down and go after them for stealing my patent and idea plus loss of profits.

Not to be that guy. But it’s not right someone spends thousands on r&d for someone just to steal their idea. That’s why we patent products. Its one thing to do that if it’s a fix that’s been around 20 years and several companies have it in different versions and you want to make your own and sell it. Go for it. People do that every day. Sony isn’t the only tv lol. DAW isn’t the only upgraded turbo out there. It’s another thing if someone never thought about this and spent the time and money to R&D an idea like we did.

That’s why I made sure from day 1 it had the patent paperwork filed before I released this.

Guys honestly, you spend $500 on a fuel pump upgrade you could piece together for $200. You spend $500 on PR coils, $1000 on a aluminum valve cover, $2000 on turbos, but yet complain about these stupid worn injector bores and misfires you can’t get rid of and someone finally makes a fix for it and your go to is $500 is to expensive let’s reverse engineer this for less! Really?

You are not paying $500 for the fittings. You are paying $500 for the fittings engineered to fix this issue that we spent a year and thousands of dollars developing, our idea and time.

But if someone wants to try to reverse engineer this for less. Be my guest. We have our bases covered legally. Just a Fair warning.

With that said. I’m not trying to be threatening or that guy but want it to be well known we WILL protect our work and assets by all legal means necessary. All T’s crossed and all it’s dotted.

It’s a great product, a great fix, and we have yet to see it not fix misfires caused by loose injectors.

The cap cut off trick does work. Kinda. Till one day you are doing a pull and it shoots the injector out and engine throws a rod. Seen that one personally. Which is what finally made me spend the time to make this kit. I wanted to make it and sell for $100. But that just didn’t happen. The time and money invested in R&D was to much and we have to recoup that. Maybe in a year or two we will drop the price after we recoup the investment. But not until then.

Your cap trick, Teflon tape, etc are bandaids. Guys you spend thousands on these builds. Our kit fixes the problem. It’s clean and easy to do. Not bandaid on the symptoms like your other fixes. Fix it and fix it right the first time. Also in our testing we found the sweet spot in tolerance where it seals tight and causing no timing corrections. That took a lot of R&D guys. That’s what you are paying for!

Again not trying to be that guy. Just want it well known we spent a lot of time getting this right and won’t be ripped off by anyone.

Thanks to all our customers and beta testers on this for your support.

I know this is probably not a real customer, but just a warning that aside from the company being shady it seems these repairs don't last long term. Your best just swapping the head.
