I shot an email off to Motiv inquiring on a few simple questions; finalizing my part orders for my single build and cant decide to go with the AIC-6 or give this Reflex a try, I do need some sort of analyzer for Ethanol and I see Motiv states the reflex does this, wonder if it replaces their Flex Fuel box? I already have a GFB 3 to control boost so I'm just not sure which way to go as the reflex states it can control boost too. Who is tuning these things? I poked around and cant find any data on these yet...

Option 1: Run the GFB3, Motiv Flex Fuel kit, AIC-6 and have more tuner options.

Option 2: Run the Reflex, sell GFB3 and get tuned by Motiv
Ken from wedge should be able to tune thru the motiv Reflex

The reflex is amazing. I've seen awesome results with it. Easy to tune, and fuel pressure oscillations caused by batch fired PI is no longer a thing. Not to mention it will eventually be can bus integrated so the argument about PI being unsafe(not that it ever was) can never be raised again.

Just ordered the Reflex! Thanks for input boys!

Got my Reflex a week or so ago. Wish my car was ready to use it. This with the BPM4 and hopefully fueling management will be golden.

@pysical I have been thinking about the BPM4 since my EKP hates my pumps, currently doing the active cooling mod to it but I really don't like having random shutdowns, last time it happened I had to put my stock pump back in just to get the car home, luckily I had the stock pump and necessary tools to swap it LOL! May I ask how long it took to get the Re-Flex after you placed your order?

Chris tunes my car and offered me a spot to beta test it back in like October I think. But my car caught fire and I am rebuilding it at the moment. But I ordered it in January and got it recently. Chris also knew that I didn't need it soon so I may have been moved further down the line which I am fine with. I wasn't part of the presale orders so those must all be shipped out. I would say do it. The reflex is going to be the right way to handle the PI. The BPM4 is the right way to handle multiple pumps.

Sorry to hear about the fire, glad you are able to rebuild her. I just ordered the ReFlex a few hours ago and just got a shipping notice!! I figured it would be a couple weeks but looks like they may be all caught up on orders. I'm going to try the active cooling on the EKP and if I have one more issue, I will be ordering the BPM4. I think I'm going to have Ken tune my car, I hear Chris does great, as well.

Was really hoping there would be more first hand experience talk going on here. Looking to order my fueling solution this week and might just go with the PFS POD instead. If anybody has any more links to reviews or write up’s on the reflex please share them

What would you like to know? It’s sequential port injection controller that will also be can bus integrated in the future to provide safety.
it has outputs to control second fuel pumps, meth injection, and a Mac solenoid.

I’d like to hear from people who have used it. People who have tuned it. Has anybody used it with e85 in a true flex fuel situation? Does it work well with the motive flex fuel module or replace it? Any failures? Any software glitches? Do’s and dont’s. Just the general conversation about a products performance. I completely understand what it is and what it’s supposed to do.

It's very easy to flash, and tune. It provides nice stable fuel pressure. I have not tuned one with an e85 sensor wired into it, but I don't see why it would be of any issue. It has all the tables available to make the necessary fuel changes on the fly. This does not replace the flex fuel module since that communicates to the DME and allows the DME to observe ethanol content. It would work in harmony with it.

This is great information! I already have the motive flex module installed so that’s why I asked. I like when everything can work together.

Just received my ReFlex and ethanol sensor, so I will need the Motiv Flex fuel module in order to run a dynamic flex fuel tune??

Yes. Without the flex fuel module there is no way for the DME to know what your ethanol content is, and therefore adjust accordingly.

Wait so with reflex you still need the Motiv flex fuel AND an ethanol content sensor? I am hoping the above poster was just talking about the GM flex fuel sensor.

I think you are trying to say the Reflex takes place of Motiv's flex fuel module but you still need the ethanol content sensor.

I would have to think you don't need the module if you have Reflex but will wait for a definitive answer.

Poked around with one today, I like it a lot so far. Good inputs, SFI, really easy to tune with TunerPro and log through TunerPro as well. Currently can only do boost control with a static duty output to the MAC really, which isn't horrible and gets you about 70% there but boost will fluctuate based on gear and conditions. Looks like they are working on the boost control logic though and I expect it will do a good job with that when completed.

Base maps look solid though. This should be a nice addition to replace the aging (and quite expensive for what they do) AIC.

Hopefully there is a single turbo suitable Re|Flex around the corner so I can ditch the AIC. Not that PI is needed just now, though more boost is coming now initial run-in is done.
