I appreciate all the info on the clutches, I really wanted to change it when I install the speedtech kit since removing the transmission will give me a little more room while I am under there (or at minimum give me the illusion of more space haha). I ended up going with the SPEC 3+ from FCP Euro since I have a N55 and probably will blow the engine before I get the clutch to slip lol. @Torgus how many miles have you put on your 3+ so far? I hear they wear a lot faster than the 2+ but there is so much info flying around on clutches its hard to keep it straight. If I can get at least 30k out of one I would be happy. Also I found out there is a dynojet about 15 mins from my house back in the states so hopefully after all is installed and running well I can post some results!

I don’t think you can do both jobs at the same time. If you plan on dropping the subframe when changing you turbo, you need the transmission mount to support the engine.

@SLOWESTN54 I installed the PS2 without removing the subframe, I just had to pull the passenger side motor mount (engine supported with a jack and 2x4). Probably would have made for an easier job if I dropped the subframe though. If I dropped the subframe and the transmission, do you think I could get away with using a engine support bar? Honestly the more I think about it I don't know if I will have the patience to wait to test it out (new clutch break in) I could just install the turbo kit then test it out a bit and replace the clutch before I have to go back to work again. Thanks for the info though it will definitely save me in the future!

I have around 20k on my 3+. 10k on the ST. However miles are hard to use for clutches. I say this as I could cruise in 6th gear for a LONG time and rack up the miles while someone else might dump the clutch and beat on their car constantly which will wear the clutch much more. When I switch over to full E85 I don't expect it to last very long with the increased TQ.

super pumped! got an email that my speedtech kit will be delivered on the 1st of May! Its gonna be a loooong few months waiting till I get home. I'll make sure to post up a bunch of pictures of all my goodies I ordered when I get back. Oh on another note we just pulled back out to sea today from a port call in Thailand that place is nuts, almost too much lol.

Oh and one more thing I forgot to mention that I thought was pretty cool. I dated this girl back in high school and her little brother was super interested in modifying cars, so back in my DSM days I would take him out and let him work on my car with me. Fast forward 20 years and he now owns his own mechanic shop in my hometown, so when I go back home, he told me I can use his shop and lift to install everything! Karma is good my friends...

What was your dsm? I had a 3g. Fwd and N/A 4g64, total dog. I was working on a evo8 based turbo conversion, but abandoned the project.

@wheela I had a 1996 Eagle Talon TSI FWD for my first one then later I got a super clean 1992 Plymouth Laser AWD super fun cars. But honestly one of my favorites I ever had was a Frankenstein 1989 Civic DX hatchback that I swapped a B16 out of a 2000 Civic SI and put on a turbo kit that I pieced together, I didn't really tune it very well looking back so it ended up blowing the motor after about 6 months (rings gone). It was pretty fun though while it lasted and it blew everyone's minds when I beat a fixed up 2003 SVT Cobra haha good times.

More questions for the pro's out there. I am thinking about just adding everything I need for port injection as well. I found out there is a E85 station about 45 mins from my house. My question is I am aware that my stage 2 LPFP probably won't provide enough fuel if I have port injection, but I was reading about the PR in tank fuel filter and regulator (V2) and the upgraded 6an fuel lines, it is making it sound like a single 450 with that setup will flow as much as a dual 450 flowing through the OEM system.

Sounds a little too good to be true but if it is that would be nice, any thoughts? Also are the aluminum intake manifolds basically all the same? Or are there some that are better than others? With my setup I have going would the best suggestion be to just go big with the injectors and get 950cc ones? Thank you all for any advice you have, I have messed with a lot of things on my car but I have never done port injection... well besides port injection meth but that's another story I found that my logs looked a lot better with just the CP meth nozzle.

FWIW I have a PR in tank fuel filter and regulator (V1) and the upgraded 6an fuel lines I will let go for a steal as I don't need them. BNIB. Same gains as V2. V2 just lets you put the FPR other places and is more modular.

Yes the regulator removes the large restriction:

Now does that mean the single pump you have will be enough? All depends on your WHP goals and it running an E blend of full E85.

I would get the BMS sheet metal intake for PI if on a budget.

With the FPR in the PR setup 750cc injectors should be plenty.

Great news everyone! Just talked to my dad and my turbo kit from Speedtech just arrived! Now these next few months are going to draaaaaag waiting to get home. I decided I am going to hold out until the reflex has E series canbus integration before I do PI. But decided to get the Black Market Parts intake (w/ dummy plugs) for now. Then once I am ready I will just get the injectors and the reflex plus a stage 3 or higher LPFP. a single 450 probably isn't enough at all even with the PR regulator correct? Thanks again everyone for all of your advice you have given me.

Oh and I just thought of one more question. The new intake manifold I purchased has slots for port methanol as well. I had the twisted tuning plate for port meth installed previously with each nozzle rated at 375ml, but I think that was waaaay too much meth for my setup with the PS2 every time I would shift it would make a super loud bang... good thing I was catless at the time or I probably would have blown out the internals on the cat lol. do you think that with my 6466 this would be a good amount of meth or am I just sending way too much and need to get smaller nozzles? I really am not good with the flow rate when rated in ml I am use to the coolingmist ratings like CM10, CM7, ETC.

I apologize in advance for all the questions, but I had one last one for now. Like I just mentioned I just purchased the BMP intake manifold and reading the discerption it says this "Additional hardware required but not included: M6 x 1.0 x 50mm (Qty 4), M6 Flat Washers (Qty 4)" I just purchased the additional hardware, but curiosity is getting the best of me, and I am wondering what these are for? I presume the throttle body, anyone know?

The throttle body is attached with fairly long, slim, self-tappers to go into the plastic, so I’d wager your hunch is correct!

Hey, you need account for your boost PSI then you can find out how much you are really going to be injecting etc. I would start with reading this: http://xtremeracingtuning.com/forum/download/file.php?id=1088&sid=03d487e26b5acb2fdc2fd35224284dc1

If that link does not work just go here:
