I finally strapped my 135i onto the dyno this weekend and am thrilled with the results. I can't find a higher published power output from a PTE 6266 on an N54! Now I need to put my Draggy to use so I can see how I compare to some of you guys...

I did a handful of pulls at various power levels and attached the logs below. This should give everyone a good idea of what a properly set-up 6266 can do from low boost to high boost. You can find my complete modification list at the bottom. And yes, this is a JB4 car!

All pulls done in 4th gear (manual transmission). DynoJet with STD correction.

Watch the video with speedo & exhaust angles... plus lots of awesome turbo noises. I also explain a lot of stuff as I'm dynoing the car.

Shoutout to John @ Doc Race for providing an awesome single turbo kit and support. I can't wait for that intake manifold. Terry @ BMS for the log feedback and guidance. Ken @ WedgePerformance for a personalized backend flash and good communication. Steven @ BMP for the quality port injection kit. Tiago @ VRSF for an awesome intercooler and Robert @ Precision Raceworks for the fuel setup and ignition kit. This car wouldn't be the beast it is without you guys!

Let me know what you think!

Supra guys made 800 whp on a 2JZ over 5 years ago on a 6266. Hondas commonly hit 700's out of 4 cylinders on a 6266.

As I replied on N54Tech, I was referring to just the N54 community. Sorry for the confusion.

Congrats on the results man! Happy for you. Hope the satisfaction is over how well the car is running vs any perceived records though, don't want you to end up popping another pringles can chasing numbers. :D

Sick buddy! Impressive to see what the car did on even low boost. 750WHP is getting after it though -- seemed to do it with ease. Gotta love a dyno session with no issues. I'm particularly impressed with that 658WHP/554WTQ spread at 21psi; probably what I'll end up settling on for daily use. Seems like it could do it all day long.

Any plans to turn anything up when the DocRace IM arrives? Or were you just looking for a safer way to implement the PI and bling up the bay?

I assume they don't hit those with stock cams on either motor, and I would bet not stock blocks either.

The doc race or fabfactory intake manifold and high lift cams should get him to 800...or at least much closer I would think. He could also upgrade to a 3.5'' exhaust from his 3''. You would probably want it to delete the transition that mates to the stock exhaust. No reason to split just to go back to a single a foot later. To go on I would bet you could remake the downpipe off the turbo and get a 3.5'' to fit like the VM/ACF kit vs. the 3'' Docrace downpipe. So he would end up with a full 3.5'' exhaust all the way back. At this HP level a 3'' exhaust should start to become a restriction.

Throw on a built head and 800+ should be very doable. I would even bet 825 could be had. Assuming he is chasing that 800whp+ number that is.

Thank you! I'm so happy with the way the car runs. I won't be chasing more power on this motor, I want it to last as long as I can possible make it. I usually drive it on the street at 24psi and have been changing the oil very frequently.

That's what I was thinking! The 21psi results impressed me the most, I had no idea it would be surpassing 650whp there. I was expecting 600whp at best.

I'll probably actually head back to the dyno and see how much power it adds by itself. Then I might drive it with even less boost so it makes the same power. I really bought it for the looks and to eliminate a potential leak surface on the intake side.

I assume they don't hit those with stock cams on either motor.

Yeah. The motor itself is completely stock, never opened. Stock intake manifold even.

I think if I leaned it out and added more timing, I could've done 775whp+ easily. It was really rich and the log was really safe. I already got rid of the exhaust split transition. Chopped the lower Doc Race downpipe and welded a 3" v-band so it's a single pipe the whole way. We'll see how quickly I get used to the power...

Nice numbers!!!!!!!! but don't get crazy with 60-130 times. You'll snap an axle if you're still on stock axles. Also that turbo still has about another 50-60whp in it at least I wouldn't push it since you're on the stock motor.

Lol! The 335 is kinda the modern day dsm. Great engine that can be made fast and the rest of the car is junk.

I went through 3 GSX's, 1 TSI AWD, and 1 EVO. I was hooked until I saw the 335i. It was a modern Supra in my eyes. Traded my EVO MR in for my first 335i back in 2009.

The 2G eclipse had some body style mojo going on, had to admit. There weren't a lot of budget cars being sold at the time which had such broad visual appeal.

Those are fantastic numbers Jake! Great work

So I haven't spent much time reviewing JB4 logs lately, but looking over Jake's logs for the 750hp pull shows a perfect pull. The 6266 carried boost all the way to redline which means there is 0 boost leak/psi loss in the intake track. The average ignition value is also 1.5 across the pull, shows he hasn't had any fueling problems at all. He was hitting 9.5deg of ignition advance which is really good at this boost level.

What this tells me is that mechanically this is a very healthy motor and the maintenance is top notch. It also tells me that at this boost level on a 6266 there isn't anything left on the table for a factory long block. You'd have to improve VE to see any gains which means digging into head porting, cams, etc.

But, looking at the WGDC there is room on the table for more boost.... I'm super impressed.
