I've partnered with @Olza to fine-tune his GTS conversion and develop an app that allows you to flash using an Android device.

We’ve taken the original GTS tune developed for the M3 GTS and reworked it for full compatibility with N54-powered vehicles. This includes proper calibration for final drive ratios and RPM limiters.

More recently, we made significant updates to the logic tables controlling the shift maps and speed selection. These updates account for traction control status, sport button, and shift lever positions. Previously, the GTS tune would not properly escalate to higher shift modes in S mode without this adjustment.

Flashing is done using the CAFlash DCT Android App. No license is required. The app lets you:
  • Flash tune files to the DCT
  • View and record live data
  • Review transmission history (including overheating events)
  • Read and clear transmission-related fault codes
You can flash using an MHD WiFi adapter or a DCAN cable (the BimmerGeeks DCAN cable is recommended). First write takes around 8 minutes. Map changes (if needed) take 1 minute.

Main benefits of the GTS flash over stock or xHP-modified stock tunes:
  • Smoother part-throttle shifts
  • Much quicker WOT shifts
  • A noticeably more refined driving experience overall
Cost: $200
Custom tuning (RPM limits, shift map tweaks, shift speed adjustments, etc.) is available at an additional cost depending on the scope of the changes.

If you're interested, send me a PM or leave a message below and I’ll get in touch.

Screenshots below show some of the app's available data and features:

Since it’s the M3 GTS tune modified for the 335i, I assume there must be a way to enable the M display. I already have an M cluster.

I remember talking to carabuser and Olza about it back in the day but from memory the Problem might be that the cluster type communication is in the program not the calibration area so may not be as simple as flipping the logic bits
They may have since developed a fix for it though so

currently you need to patch code area for that, because code flips can output values depending of "car and gws" type. but i have patch for this.

If I can have the M cluster display with no crippling I'm in.

DKG swap is looking tempting now. How will it drive with stock AT 3.46 ratio diff? Will cruising rpms become too high and the car will be annoying to drive? Is 2.56 ratio diff a must?
