Hi Guys,
I'm starting this thread for my next build that I decided to do after I sold my F80 M3 built.
As everyone knows BMW stopped making the E89Z4 so I wasn't able to get brand new one but I found a clean its 2015 Z4 sDrive35i with 10K and HYPER ORANGE PACKAGE.

What a project! Love it!

1) What is the goal / vision of the build? (Sorry, do not know what Sema 2018 is)
2) Any plans to mod the suspension to match the wider track?
3) What does the CSF cooling system consist of?

I have been writing to CSF that I still see coolant overheating on the track with their radiator installed - no response unfortunately.

Please note the CSF oil cooler is not OEM fit for Z4. Looking forward to see what your workaround looks like! I may want to copy your solution. I have not upgraded the OEM oil cooler, but added an additional one in conjunction with my semi-dry sump.

As for the coolant radiator, here is what I saw at Ningbo Speedpark (4km FIA 2 circuit) in +100F heat.

As you can see it went into AC reduction (+118C) at the end of one of the hotlaps. Car is however doing much better now that ambient temps are lower. But in conclusion, as it turned out, I needed an aux water cooler more than an additional oil cooler.

If your car is to see similar ambient temps on track, you may want to consider the 1 M coupe aux radiator setup, perhaps with an upgraded aux CSF cooler if available.

Do you have a link to the coilover system you intend to use?

Honestly most of the Z4 GT3 replica builds I've seen look like doo doo. Congrats on pulling off a good looking one. Not as easy as people think!

Any figures on final weight? I'm guessing you delete all the convertible top mechanisms?

when we took the convertible top off was like ~300lb, however i'm going to weight it ones i get it back from Sema

It really depends what one is weighing. I surmise by Steve's comment the 300lb approx was all associated stuff - top, frame, hydraulics, et al.

The actual top clam shell is aluminum with a 12 oz headliner. I bet the rear glass weighs more than the complete top shell. But all the other stuff that makes the top work ... that will add up.

Steve really appreciate if you take the time to take a few weights - just curious where they come in!

that's correct, and yes sir I will do that ones I get the car from Sema.
