Hey guys,
So all of a sudden my car has started to pull pretty hard to the right during light to medium braking. I can even the braking out by pushing the pedal hard enough to "reset" the caliper back to normal operation. When I push hard enough, I feel a slight "pop" and after that braking is completely normal again for the rest of the drive. But then I have to do it again next time I start up the car.
Obviously I think first step will be to take front brakes apart and clean, then reassemble. It's just weird that with enough braking force just once I can get it to behave normally. Never seen that before. Any ideas? Should I just order new calipers to be on the safe side?

Could also be a stuck piston and yes may require refurb or replace
Weird thing to me is that it only gets stuck at the beginning of the drive until I press the brakes enough to unstick it. Then for the rest of the drive it's completely normal. Does shutting the car off release the piston more than it would be released during driving?

I'm gonna take a look at the slide pins and hope for a cheap fix lol

I had a similar issue, but it was a bad bushing on one side up front. It was worse when breaking from higher speed. I don't recall it ever feeling like it would reset though.

Yeah I considered bushing, but the behavior of the issue makes it seem like a caliper issue. Only sticks until I give it enough force to clamp, then acts normal for rest of the drive. Braking strength after that is great. So weird lol

Under light to medium braking is it pulling towards the caliper you think is sticky? Or towards the good one?

Hi there,

You can code it out in the DSC module.

Its start Asist, Protool works or NCS. Also if you have big breaks add the sport brake retrofit to VO and factory code.
