Just want some input on the on3 single kits, junk or not? Heard good things but mostly bad things about it. Has anyone done them if so how do they perform in the long term?

I see some kill story clips of a guy with on3. Kicks some ass. I think people have trouble clocking the turbo properly and it smokes. I’m really looking at the Frankenturbo setup. 2k for upgraded twins @650whp with supporting mods and fuel.

Kit fits well... looks very well made. Going have to change the China, turbo, wg and bov. Had a friend runing one, I helped fixed a few issues he had. The fit was spot on.

Wasn’t it only like 2500$ also? So another 2500 for supporting mods and upgrading turbo and WG, BOV. I think you can even just get the hot side parts also

Would a 6266 and tial wastegates work?

Hold off on the On3, there are new single turbo options coming soon in that price range you'll probably want instead.

If you don't care about the ebay level parts they use for their kit, sure. Their package is decent as long as you realize that manifold is not the most efficient design out there and your parts might not be that reliable down the line.

I would do some research on what parts and what features you want first and work that out with your own budget, instead of just blindly choosing the lowest bidder.

On3 kit and frankenturbo are junk. Doug from frankenturbo is a fucking con artist. He was basically ejected from the VW world for stealing compressor maps and modifying them in paint and claiming they were from his turbos. Stay far away from him and his products.

It's cheap but it does work but definitely not the best kit out there. People have made decent power with their billet 61mm turbo (600whp+) but if you do buy their kit don't use the wastegate they're known to fail

I think the noted glaring issue is the lack of structural support at the base of the turbo mount. Last time I broke down the cost of the hot parts + name brand WGs and turbo it was maybe ~$300 less than other options on the market that were twin scroll.

That defeats the point of the kit.
I'll make an assumptions your coming from FBO.

If you delete all the options(intercooler, chargepipe, bov, and wastegate) and pick up the 61mm billet turbo then you are looking at 2,777 for the kit +350 for the MVR or Hypergate that's 3,127. If you take their new billet 67mm option you're at $3360. The Doc race kit is 4599 with a 6266 journal bearing and I believe the VM kit is the same price. At the bare minimum you are saving yourself $1,239. So there's savings on going the on3 route.

ACF/VM Kit is a bit cheaper than that for journal bearing I think in the 4k range. Right now I think he has an extra BB Gen2 6266 kit for $4800 Shipped.
