E92 MOTIV750 (Sold)
Finally got my MOTIV750 E92 dyno'd. It's a Mustang MD-1100 dyno aka heartbreaker.

Mods: HTA3586R turbo, Fuel-It v1 PI, Fuel-It! Stage 3 LPFP triggered via Hobbs at 15psi, BoostBox and Motiv FlexFuel kit. The tuner is @CKI@Motiv

The ethanol content was around E75. All runs were in 4th gear (1:1) and this shows the first run (dotted line) vs the last run. Nothing too crazy here. Not trying to break records or my block.

I'm running OEM F80 M3 513M wheels with 275 Pilot Super Sports and they will lose traction in 3rd gear so I need better tires. Or I drop-down the Ethanol content by putting in pump gas (LOL!)

The other suggestion from Chris was to run the VRSF Race IC as my Helix one had 50* increases.

Big thanks to to the MOTIV guys: Jake H, Jake Y, Chris and the dyno guys at www.asespeed.com in Sacramento for their Mustang MD-1100 dyno and service.

Yeah, it's not bad. Just happy to not have any issues except putting the power to the ground. I know you've been around a long time as well even before the Cobb and DZenno started.

Nice numbers! How much boost was this on? Definitely time to replace those PSS!

I know everyone here seems to hate on them, but I'd you don't want to spend Toyo money, federal 595rs-rr are very grippy.

I'm looking at 275/35 and 255/35 r888.

Don't those Federal tires have an issue with cracking?

I haven't heard of it if so. They likely won't last long enough to crack - treadwear is only 140. But they HOOK.

Nice idea, but according to Toyo's web site:

I've been thinking about the Firestone Indy 500 (which is a Bridgestone RE003) ... RE11/S001 also interesting. Check Indy 500 tire price at Tire Rack. Very reasonable.

I looked on eBay and they have those sizes. And they are pricey as hell

Im currently tire shopping as well. Having a set of CCW's made for the 135. Im thinking R888R's, 275/35R18.

I have the R888's on the GTR now. They are noisy on the highway, Im hoping the R888R's are a little less noisy. Not really having a lot of luck finding a stickier drag radial in 275/35 for the 135. I am curious about the Federal RSRR's. If you go with Federal RSRR's please give me some feedback!

I hadn't heard that the r888s are loud.that makes me feel better with the federals because they are LOUD. It's hard to beat 120 a tire for 265/30 or 275/30 and they run really wide.

Im also considering an 18 inch front wheel and 17 inch rear wheel. A lot more drag radial choices that "should" fit the rear of the 135i if I drop the rear down to a 17 inch wheel. (275/35R18 and 275/40R17 are about the same diameter)

Only hesitation is if an 18 inch front and 17 inch rear will look strange.

What wheels? I wanted to do exactly that, but the Apex ec7s I have only come in 18s. I may switch to arc8s one day so I can run 17s in the rear.

CCW classics, so any size / offset that I want. I’m getting that part dialed in now. I ordered my last set of CCW’s for the GTR through modbargains, they have been really helpful getting it all figured out.

I have the federal 595rs-rr and yeah they're louder than my falked mud tires lol. Theyre pretty sticky. I have them in 275 and 235s. Also 2nd them running wider. Id reccomend em. Never had real traction issues. They gripped on concrete with a 4500 clutch dump snapping an axle at 460whp.......

I know everyone here seems to hate on them, but I'd you don't want to spend Toyo money, federal 595rs-rr are very grippy.

I'm running 245/265 595 RS-RR's. No issues with grip in a straight line or around any corners. Entire setup was $460 installed. I also have them on my E39 M5 and had the 595 RS-R's on my S50 E30.

Every performance characteristic is on point. Very good steering, turn in, extremely grippy and responsive, and best of all the stopping power. I have done stops from 140-150 mph range with these with no issues. For everyday driving you will be able to outbrake 99% of cars, and you won't need much pedal % to slow down at any speed.

RS-RR's only downside is the tire noise. Like the RS-71r's, they are loud. It's not entirely a bad thing, it makes the car sound more aggressive hearing that super sticky tire compound, but it's also not as refined as some less grippy tires.

If you want 90-95% of the grip of an RE-71r (I went through two sets of RE-71r so know that tire pretty well) for less than half the price, get 595 RS-RR's. I would say on the streets the Federals are equivalent to the RE-71r in terms of utilizable performance in all aspects. One thing to note is they run about 10-15mm more than what they're spec'd at. My 245 runs more like a 255 and the 265 runs more like a 275. When I replace the rears I will definitely go up to a 275 so it's roughly a 285.

^^ I'm intrigued by the Federal cheap price. How many DE events would they last and how do you think they compare to something like NT-01 or R888?

I don't care about the noise. It's gonna be a track car.
