^^ I'm intrigued by the Federal cheap price. How many DE events would they last and how do you think they compare to something like NT-01 or R888?

I don't care about the noise. It's gonna be a track car.
When i bought my apex arc-8s, they came off a bagged m3 sedan that got tracked and the prev owner absolutely loved them. Ive taken corners at stupid unsafe high speeds and never lost grip.

Ive always heard the r888s glaze/glass over after heat cycles but i have no proof of this. Just hear say. The nt-01 i know not many like in drag racing as theyre not soft enough and spin.

Nice idea, but according to Toyo's web site:

I've been thinking about the Firestone Indy 500 (which is a Bridgestone RE003) ... RE11/S001 also interesting. Check Indy 500 tire price at Tire Rack. Very reasonable.

Filippo

Bridgestone RE-71 come in these sizes and are very grippy according to the reviews I've read

Great power curve, especially on a mustang too. Glad you finally got it on the dyno after like 3 years!

Nt01 over R888r anyday, they were too noisy cause I drive it a lot. I had them on M4 and swapped them out in a week. Traction was about the same though. Since we have the same 513 wheels, I assume you might need it. I have x2 Toyo R888R 275/35/18 with 150 Miles on them. $450 Shipped to you since you're Norcal.

I finalized my wheel order today. Went with an 18 inch front wheel, and a 17 inch rear. Hopefully it doesn't look too strange. SO many more drag radial options for the 1 series in the 17 inch size, I went this route so that I wouldn't be locked in to an r888r forever. Im going to try MT ET Streets on the rear.

Hell yeah - ET streets are the way to go. My friend had ET streets on his LS1 FD RX7 and it would hook from a second gear roll with a 150 shot. Ran 136 in the 1/4.

I think next year I'll be switching to ARC8s with a 18/17 setup.

Spinning ain't winnin. Unless you're in a rolling burnout contest. And the prize is more money for cheap tires lol.

A set of 275/35/19 and 235/35/19 RS-RR for $520 shipped to my door is hard to argue though.

Considering these cars can't 60ft worth a damn in the first place, it's debatable weather you really need a tire better than federals. I think some guys have cut 1.6 60fts with them.

I run federals, the price is cheap but the quality isn't. Which is superb. Something like sumitomo, ironman, and kuhmo ecsta on the other hand, dont bother lol. If i can toss my bronze arc 8s and get a 17/15 combo, on et streets I'll be happy. What spin? I don't launch though. 2.4 60ft lol.

This has shifted to a tire thread. I'm ashamed. Okay how many miles do you guys get out of the RS-RR?

Lately I have begun measuring my tire usage by years rather than miles. At 3-5k miles a year my tire changes are more than acceptable. Tires don't wear out when your car is always broke down.

Nice! That's not bad at all. What size do you have, and where'd you order from?

Yeah I was honestly expecting them to be bald by now, so for the price I'm happy with them. Just off of ebay when they were doing one of the 15% off sitewide sales. 225f 255r on factory style 162's

Got almost 5k miles on mine. I'd estimate about 15k miles if you're driving hard, 20k if you're driving conservatively. That's on the rears. Fronts should last a decently long time.

Check jet before ordering. They have them at times for 120 shipped in 265/35/18. Best price I could find. They were sold by hot sticky tires but 20 bucks less than their site direct
