Did you get xhp to do this for you yet? If not we should try get a petition enough people ask maybe they can make a flash time option or something.

Curious as to why we want the transmission to engage slower, wouldn't the root problem be in the DME somewhere?

What I don't get is why dct cars shift faster than any other and don't have this problem but I believe they pull timing on shift I wonder if it is worth trying dct flash time also xhp option is same as alpina which If that's case isn't taking full advantage of no torque limits

I think they tried without success so covering it up with a "you don't need to change this" response.

Is it safe to run in your opinion?
I wouldn't. I was using it on my old n54 335 and there were a couple of times I had serious detonation with no timing pulls or codes thrown. I only found out later that the sensitivity was turned down.
Those maps pull hard but you can definitely hurt your motor if you aren't paying attention.

I was using the 1+ during winter here at the beach since I still don’t have an IC upgrade. I raced my bro in law in his scat pack hemi, couldn’t pull on me, we were just neck to neck the whole way. This is just a very smooth and powerful update. Love it. Back down to the Normal stage 1 now since it’s warm, car just feels slow now. #firstworldboostproblems

FYI, on my 335is DCT I logged consistent 120ms shifts on the stock DCT ZB. Upgrading my DCT TCU to the M3 GTS ZB I now have 90ms shifts constantly. No timing pulls at all, the advance goes away, so instead of seeing +12deg advanced during the shift you see it drop down to 0deg. But I never get a pull into the negative territory.

All this is based on a custom PR Coils + 100% E85 + DCT tune done by @V8bait.

Having some boost issues I think. Was running V8 1+ after upgrading to msd81 and forgot to check cold start box. Decided to go back and do it and went back to V7 1+. Had the long write and a few hiccups in between where I had to restart it over again. Now I have no boost, no codes pop up, drives fine but has nooooooo power. It ran like a champ this morning. I didn’t buy the logging feature when I had the $ to and now I’ve been replacing things left and right so I now can’t afford it. I’ve checked all the usual culprits. CP, intercooler connections, DV hoses. Nothing wrong. Popping hood now waiting for wife for a better look. Any thoughts?

I have standard tools and am somewhat comfortable using it. Have done alpina on a couple cars and 2011 sport on mine. How do I figure out what ZB# I need?

A little remote session and all fixed. In the morning I need to back up in MHD my software so it doesn’t happen again

I just loaded the V8 Stage 1+ map on my 2010 535 last night. Compared to V7, V8 appears to have better throttle tip in off of idle and a bit more power throughout the rpm range. Power delivery is smoother as well. Seems like the V8 maps have been in beta stage for quite awhile. Is there any reason to not to take them out of the 'beta' stage and make them official? Thanks.

I think Martial is busy focusing on the B58 MHD maps right now which is why we haven't seen any updates with the N54 maps. I wouldn't really consider the V8 maps to be "beta" any more

I loaded the v8 maps in my 335i. This map seems to go for a lower target boost. Max power isn't the same, and I seem to have more timing corrections on cylinders 1 and 4. I don't think it's the plugs or anything else. I have some logs on datazap [look for turbohugh]. I may go to mexico a few times later to check how I feel. It may also be adaptations [it was a long flash although I turned down burble and a few other small things]. I will give it a few more days to adapt then pull another log. My 10/10 log is v8.
