My car is currently le mans blue and I just had every ding and imperfection fixed in preparation for a wrap. I am trying to find a wrap color that is closest to frozen blue or frozen blue 2 which I belive are based off San Marino blue.
Closest I found is satin mystique blue by 3m ,im looking for personal experience and or opinions on that or other wrap colors close to what I'm looking for. I just got a new rear bumper as mine had a dimple in it and a carbon fiber diffuser ,m3 side skirts and an ak carbon fiber front lip. My other question is should I do CF mirrors and black or cf on roof ? I originally wasnt planning on it but a few people have suggested it and now im curious.

satin, matte blue looked good on every e series I have ever seen. Most matte blue tones look good, with the exception of the super bright matte blue...that looked ghetto.

Matte blue with carbon mirror caps looked good also with the carbon diffuser and carbon interior and carbon rear spoiler.
However, I would not recommend the carbon roof if it is not real. Wrapped carbon roofs look fake in all instances that I have seen so far.

I was leaning towards doing roof blue as well I think the CF is especially a no go for me cause sun roof but black on roof might work. I don't know what to think and the mirrors I think I might get real carbon fiber so it matches my interior and ground fx unless the wrap will look real .I just don't know if a wrap will have the depth a real carbon fiber weave has, my interior looks so much better than the carbon wrapped interiors ive seen was worth every penny.

When I say carbon mirrors, mean real carbon. The only thing that is wrapped is the blue. Never wrap carbon...it always looks fake.

I'm just stuck on color now satin mystique, satin perfect blue or when I originally asked for frozen they emailed me an estimate with metro frozen blue which when I search comes up as an every product and with chrome in full name .
This is the color I want but don't know the name.

I think I found my doppelganger Rob09. I have a LeMans blue 335is that I was thinking of wrapping in this frozen looking blue. I have the AK front lip and rear spoiler in carbon and I wrapped the roof in This Avery carbon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BJNM028/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The wrap is not that good as you can see the areas that needed to be relifted while I was installing. Almost like small creases.
Could be due to how thin the wrap is but still, I don't recommend this product for it.

I work in the Auto industry and this pic is from our design studio. This is the color I was looking to do in the lower right hand side.IMG_2499.JPG

Is that kpmf Trenton blue and I think I am down to satin perfect or mystique blue, or 3m matte blue metallic I liked other colors but want to stay 3m or avery. I really liked matte metallic night blue as well but might be too dark and I love the sheen of the satin colors.
Top pic is 3m matte metallic blue bottom pic is my current car

I'm a big fan of wraps, I wrapped my 2006 GTO as well as my brothers 2007 335i. It is super easy for maintenance, self healing in most cases, and cost-effective. Not to mention you can actually coat most wraps with a ceramic coating now that will improve their water shedding performance. It is very cool stuff!

Rob I see you are in CT, but NoGuru of you are interested in wrapping your car let me know. I live just south of detroit, I can provide some help, pointers, or even do it if you are interested.

Apreciate the offer but I have done some wrapping (E46 interiour and 335is roof) and I have a friend that has wrapped about 7 cars now and is pretty good at it.
I have a lot of small rock chips in the paint that I am afraid might show up so I would have to fix that first.IMG_2357.JPG IMG_2324.JPG

No problem! Sounds like a good friend haha, practice makes perfect. I would take care of those chips for sure, even if it is just filling them in with touch up paint.

Do you like the contrast of the roof. I'm thinking of doing roof black getting car wrapped next week and dont know if my car would look better all same color cause the sunroof.

I do like it, I just don't like the one I picked. I think I will try and different brand in the spring when the car comes out of storage.
