If i read that Rcboosted2007 log right, he has poor performance IC too(hope i did ).
start of pull (hotter day no code) starts with 110f and end with 150f so there is 40f temp rise
in some 7 seconds.
estimating of that one gear is when drived a standing mile on those starting temps, he reach IAT temps close to 200f at the end of run.

some dissapointment today on performace level, 135 didn`t run as expected.
I was after 10 second runs today on no prepped or glued strip, local small airport
runway where is not allowed to use any substances to add grip.
On those background, grip was decent but tiny little too bad for
my goals so times was all on 11 sec side.

with a trap speeds exceed 130 mph with best 132,4mph.
now it`s just to wait for new FMIC and hope it arrive before wednesday
so i have time to install it.
next 1 mile run is next saturday and if i get everything fixed, 300kph is
what i`m after.

The best intercooler Ive seen by far, bar none, is the one sold by a local guy here in Australia called Justin (JD75) on e90 post. Its tube and fin but absolutely massive and in my opinion is what you're looking for.

The kit was developed on my ST and is amazing.
Latest version of this complete kit has a more simplified mounting system.
martymil has full details on this system.
Maybe we can rig up an inlet and outlet temp probe to check delta T across the heat exchanger, not charge temps but air over temps. Rule of thumb is anything over 30f is overloaded
This ic works and the results speak for them selves.
The car was heavily heat soaked and I was testing some new developments I was working on with the ambient north of 80f.
Only a 6 deg F rise over the whole run.

I had a thought today. With moving of the transmission cooler to the wheel well style that people are doing for better trans temps.Can you then plumb a water/air intercooler to the now free trans cooler?this should in theory double the cooling
True, but it still costs over 5 times what the VRSF Race costs. I could see twice as much, even possibly 3 times. But 5? Man, no wonder everything is made in China.
