As the title says, I broke off some slivers of plastic from my valve cover into the intake valve train area while replacing the valve cover gasket. We're talking slivers from the groove area of the VC maybe a 5-10 millimeters long x 1 mm thick, some longer, some shorter. I did everything I could to pick them all out. Just wondering if I missed a few small bits what kind of damage could result when I start the engine?

As crumbly as it was to break off, I'd guess it is of no concern

Perhaps do an oil change after you start it up for a few min?

Drop your oil pan bro, the few hours of labor will pay off when you dont have to swap engines
