Dodson releases new Superstock 8 plate clutches

And now they have released the Superstock 8 plate clutches which should be a little less aggressive feeling. This is what they posted to their Facebook page:

We've just released the new Superstock 8/8 plate clutch to suit the BMW DCT. It has our new patented technology that will ensure nice driveability. It is smoother, learns better, and changes faster. Contact us for more details.

Apparently they are using a new clutch material for both which addresses the problems with learning and abruptness in shifts.

I wonder which is better now, the SSP or the Dodson clutches?

Great that there’s another option We’ll know once someone tries them and most likely it’ll be an M3/4/5.

Most with an n54/5 are in need of better tcu software rather than clutches.

The main thing with the n54 DCT is that very few have a single turbo. Can probably count them on one hand, and even less have a built engine. Single Turbo N54 with DCT will be a small club.

The high power twin turbos will be harsher on the transmission day to day with the quicker spool up.

For better or worse, +1 right here for DCT, ST, and N54 E82. I will keep you guys posted once everything is sorted in the next month or so.
