It's not uncommon to have an axle stuck in your hub. But generally the tried and true methods of removal work. A 5lb sledge, a dead blow, double sledge, heat, etc. But sometimes you get one that just won't budge. The solution? A 12ton hydraulic ram to ram the damn thing out!!

Haven't had to pull an axle for any reason yet...what would you say is the cause of it sticking? Is it just corrosion?

This is what you are looking for. Used it a bunch of times does the trick and pretty cheap.

Did not watch it. Just figured people would want the link so no need to googs search. Good idea with the jack stands to hold it in place as it can be a PIA with one person.

Ah! Two thumbs up then. Cause I sure didn't link to the product itself (I fail).

very neat product. ive had this issue many times before in my field. I wonder how does this product keep from pulling the bearing apart?
