BimmerGeeks Pro Cable Review

Hey guys, here's a quick review of the new BimmerGeeks Pro cable.

Car: 07 335i, 10/06 build (I8A0S / KLine)
Setup: Samsung Galaxy S4 + generic K/DCAN cable from eBay purchased back in 2013.

For reference, my quick map changes would take right under 2 minutes. After testing the cable, the speeds are noticeable. Flash time went down to about 1 minute. Solid cable, looks similar to many other cables, but for what it's worth, it did have a solid feel when connecting to OBD port. My previous cable didn't click in as well.

Switch settings on the cable:

Switched Left is for older chassis such as E46, E39, E53, E38 etc...
Switched Right is for newer chassis such as E90, E60, E70 etc...​

Sorry for my long overdue review of my BimmerGeeks Pro cable. Been too busy chasing bugs for my single build.
My car is is 07 335i as well with the build date 4/07 (I8A0S / KLine)
Stock cable took 2 min flash compared to 1 min with the Bimmergeeks cable which is insanely fast.
When flashing from a stock map it took me 8 min to flash which reduces the risk of killing the battery so i no longer have to worry about using a battery charger. I like the fact that it has the switch to use with older model cars which is a huge plus.
If your tired of finding a legit cable or slow flash time Bimmergeeks pro cable will solve your problem!

I was lucky enough to win one of these. Flash times are noticeably faster. Might be due to the age of my previous cable but the quick flash times have come in handy a handful of times already.

This cable is lightning fast. Almost immediately when flashing maps it shows only 1 min remaining. It's solid and reliable. Appreciate the giveaway, thanks to BimmerGeeks and SpoolStreet. Here's some pics. Definitely pick this up if you want a fast cable.

Mine says 1 minute immediately after it starts flashing, takes like 1 minute 12 seconds or something.

This is a delayed review as life took over, my apologies.

With that said, the bimmergeeks cable is unparalleled in build quality, customer service from Dylan and performance. I have had about 3 friends get cables from bimmergeeks after sharing my experience with them.

I did the initial MHD flash in 22 minutes, flawless with no errors with a battery tender.


Dylan was immediate in his responses to get me going and have it work with my laptop as well.

I can't speak highly enough of bimmergeeks.
