Currently redoing my fuel system, where have some of you guys mounted your FPR's at in the engine bay? Having a hard time figuring out where i want to put it

I have it zip tied to the AC line elbow behind the alternator.

Precision Raceworks gave me some grief when they saw how I mounted their reg lmao

I know you said "in the engine bay" but there is a great spot underneath on the driver's side to mount a filter and FPR. It's away from heat and vibration, and no need to run a return line all the way from the engine bay.

Not installed yet when that photo was taken, will exit bottom of FPR with a 90* and flow back to tank.

I think this is the route im gonna go, why the 2 feed lines coming from the tank?

Most common would be a dual pump system with one of the pumps being "external", i.e. it exits through the top hat, bypassing all internal tank regulator/etc. You get significantly more flow out of that second pump routed like that for a modest cost increase and not much work done inside the tank (lpfp drop-in only).

Of course we sell the filter/FPR with a single input as well if that's more your speed.

Oh im building my own setup! But yeah that makes sense, never thought by passing the intank filter for just the second pump, im putting in a new intank filter and just running dual 450's with a return, im only shooting for 700-750whp so my setup should be able to supply that! But i think ill mount it under the car like your setup looks clean and less clutter in these tight engine bays, definitely makes it easy to route the return, hopefully it wont cause any issues not being after the rail. I guess i should be able to adjust it to compensate

You can still put it after the rail under the car.

Yeah i could but wouldn't mounting it that far back behind the rail cause it to drop pressure by the time it hits the regulator then

It doesn't really matter as long as you have sufficient flow capability (lpfp side, you have many options here), you have lines that will flow enough (easily accomplished), and you can adjust your regulator as required (you can). Plus most of you in this section have the low pressure fuel pressure sensor to use as a reference for what's going on under boost up top, when traditional low pressure system weaknesses are exposed. Lots of ways to do this with a reasonable budget, keeping things clean and simple.

So i ended up mounting it directly underneath my fuel rail, post rail placement. Found a big threaded hole in the block and ended up having a bolt that matched, unfortunately needed to add a bunch of washers to space it away and clear the hpfp but the bolt still has over half the threads in The block and its mounted pretty solid! Also im able to get to it fairly easily with the manifold and everything in place for adjustments.

Am I to understand that this device is to replace the fuel pressure regulator with the fuel filter on the driver side? what are the benefits of this unit?

Thanks.
