Some of them are heated and have a different plug if ur car doesn't come with heated mirrors but other than that they will bolt right up.

Heated , folding M3 mirrors are so hard to find and expensive too! I want a set for my car but cant find myself paying a grand for them.

$700 shipped is my limit. Does your car have heat & fold? Mine doesn't so I'm not super concerned w/ finding mirrors with them, but I know if I get mirrors w/ those features I'm gonna want to make them work... Can only imagine what coding would be needed or wiring I'd have to change.

I have a heated steering wheel(I did) does that mean my mirrors are heated also? I have the normal power folding 335i mirrors.

Is there something special about the M3 mirrors except that extra bar that goes across? Just cosmetic, right?

Slightly different shape & bigger, but mainly cosmetic.

UPDATE:
Jumped on an Ebay deal; mirrors installed, took about 45 mins. They're plug & play so far; directional adjustments all work. I repainted the trim bezel for the new window switch, but *I believe* the auto-fold will work once installed. My car already had comfort touch & I confirmed my "SPIEGEL_KOMFORT" is already set to AKTIV in the TRC file. I still have to research the auto-dimming. I think I need the interior rear view & confirm some other things are aktiv in the TRC.

The OEM black is the same as the shark fin & extremely close to the 3m vinyl on the roof. May paint them green this winter, who knows... Still deciding if I want to wrap the window moldings as well...

Link to the auction? Yes, yes & yes.

 It's a good thing I don't own anything chrome; move along.
LOL I wasn't trying to flame you!! I thought that's what you were referring to when you said the window moldings and I was just saying that's what I'd do! Haha my bad if I sounded rude or something

So I guess I’m finishing up my build V2.0...

Way back when:
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=857028

I was FBO (pre-inlets) when I saw Terry list his FFTEC kit for sale. GC's weren’t around & I wasn’t crazy about the associated heat of a top mount, so I took the bottom mount ST plunge. I collected parts over a year or so, let the platform evolve & jumped in this winter. Goal is 7XX hp & the car has around 95k on it at this point. Project snowballed a little, but when I build something I want it dependable as possible & to look like it could have come from the factory that way. I’m too OCD to use the red/blue big block Chevy fittings. If there was a serviceable item that was more accessible during install, I updated it. I cleaned or degreased or painted pretty much anything along the way.

New stuff list:

-fftec bottom mount
-PTE 6266 bb Gen 2
-Tial WG
-AuBeast fittings
-new index 12 injectors
-new coils
-NGKs (97506)
-ADV o2 sensors
-3.5 Tmap & BMS harness
-Mac valve
-added OFH w/ outlets converted to 10an
-Setrab 34 row oil cooler
-new waterpump & thermostat
-new tensioner, pulleys & belt
-034 Motorsports motor mounts
-UUC trans mounts
-upgraded alum guibo
-BMS shift rod
-Spec 3+ clutch, oem TOB & bronze pivot
-Mfactory FW
-new rear main seal
-modified BMS OCC
-CSF radiator
-Fuel-it Stage 3 bucket
-Fuel-it 6an feed line tank to PI
-Fuel-it ethanol sensor
-walnut blasted
-Sharps manifold w/ PI
-Bosch EV 14 550cc injectors
-BMS PI controller
-oem 335d snorkel
-all new T-bolts
-all nylon covered stainless braided hoses (oil & boost ref)
-Aeroquip hose (vaccum)
-matching AN fittings

What’s left:

1. wiring connections @ DME
2. connect battery terminal
3. fuel/oil/coolant leak check
4. reinstall exhaust
5. Y the DP from single outlet to dual 2.5“
6. load software
7. START THE CAR
8. air leak check

Once I get to the tuning stage I’ll determine if/when I need an ADE intercooler. Also, I'm price shopping for M3 diff parts & pieces.

I’ll go thru all my pics & get them up as I get time this weekend hopefully.
Love the color, planing on similar mods for my car

UPDATE:
Been slammed at work but have managed to get a few things done... Clean logs to 23psi on e60. Traction is an issue; 4th gear runs from now on. Probably have to order r888r's pretty soon. Interior swap is done for now, just waiting on some help from @Derek@MoorePerformance so I can finish up some coding.
Dakota leather made it feel like a new car again.

I'm super anxious for @A4RingedONE8T to get back from vacation; he's going to take care of my rear calipers & these beauties can go on (size 12 for reference).

Those light panels on the back of your seat, wouldn't that attract marks pretty easy? When I have a kid back there I guess I'm sensitive to that :)

@camberadam

Car looks amazing! I cannot wait to see it complete!
We can probably get all the files and everything setup tonight if you have the time. Shoot me an Email.

Thanks sir! Will do.

Probably... But my children have paws & they can ride in my Cooper. Seats came w/ the black panels, but I wanted more of a 2 tone look. Original plan was to swap out the door inserts to for my gray ones, but after seeing 40ish+ plastic welds on each panel I'd have to split/re-weld & how nice Dakota leather is, I decided this was next best option. Seat heaters & adjustments work, I just need to get the lumbar coded/working.

UPDATE:
Took yesterday to install the M performance BBK. Kit came w/ an incorrect brake pad retainer, luckily the eBay store was a dealership outside of D.C. Wasted 3 hours driving there, but they were cool & swapped a retainer out of another BBK. Anyway on to build pics; final pics after the rains let up.
Kit laid out (ALWAYS check your parts 1st).
7B0B0B70-1DD2-4CFA-9D80-A45BC486637D_zpsj3n1zrxr.jpg

Front is fairly straight forward. 2 holes for dust shield line up, 1 toward the front you can make work, the 2nd upper hole wasn't worth it (would need a good sized spacer).

Rears took more effort. @A4RingedONE8T did awesome job machining down the mounting tabs. Great communication & hit his deadline. I did still need to clearance some mold marks from the factory. I read others oblong the holes but I figured it was easier to massage the aluminum caliper than the steel knuckle.
72217969-14A3-4489-BCD6-110A448F1966_zpsoj2kkv6a.jpg

You also have to disassemble the E-brake so you can rotate the retaining flange & get a straight shot at drilling out the mounting ears on the knuckle.

New bolt measured 0.46" dia, so I stepped up to 0.48". Pay attention or you can snap a bit easily when it fetches up.
E326C43F-05E3-4C8A-B98A-A09EFCDBF2DB_zpsmxocfv4r.jpg

Only thing I didn't like about the kit is the rotors aren't bi-directional, but its mounted. No dust shields in the rear. I tried cutting them up, but they just weren't going to work. Another thing, you need to reuse your front & rear pad wear sensors (if possible). The sensors for the kit (F30) have different plug ends.

Side note, this was so worth it. Makes bleeding brakes 10x easier.

I still have the M3 mc to install; need to figure out how I can get to the bottom bolt. Going to do some research while I'm breaking in the pads & rotors.

My bbk should be sitting at the house when I get home, so I'm probably going to ask you a few questions.

So there is a hole that needs drilled out for a larger bolt? What is the stock hole size?

And what did you use to grind out the inside of the rear caliper? I didn't know that was necessary also. Perhaps it won't be with my e60 rear discs.
