Be advised all 335i owners...there seems to be a world wide price reduction on 335iS passenger side mounts. Previously over $600 item now at ECS Tuning for $240 and FCP Euro for $308... I ordered one just in case that shit goes up again. I will be looking forward to resetting my idle RPM back to stock levels and not at 900 RPM to save a few drops of gas and have lux comfort again.

Sheesh, this mount pricing has been incredible. The only reason I went with aftermarket was due to the $600 price. Was hoping for a reduction to $200 or so! :p

Me too... I like the aftermarket mounts I got EXCEPT for the fact that I am forced to increase idle speed to 900 rpm to extinguish the NVH at idle. Now I can set it back to quiet stock levels and have a quieter idle cabin!

Still a bit pricey ($300) for a single engine mount, especially a fluid filled one that will eventually start to sag and is supposedly only ~5-10 durometer stiffer imo. At the price the OEM mounts can be bad I'd still just sacrifice the tiny tiny bit of extra performance, and if I needed the extra performance a harder engine mount provides I'd likely go with the Turner solution.

No, this is the 335is mount. They are solid rubber not fluid filled like the 335i regular ones.

100% agree. I love the aftermarket mounts when I am driving but idling is horrible. I can almost get over it 100% and then the VVRRRBRBBBBBRBRBRT comes from the dash and I remember again. :tearsofjoy:

I have never looked at my Z4 35is mounts. It is a 2011 with almost 56k miles.

Anyone have a reason to suspect mine could be having a problem?

Is your car driving all jacked up or anything? Engine revving and bending to one side?

@NoQuarter has the same mounts as the 335is ... so I'm not sure what the failure mode looks like on the solid rubber mount design. I will say this, on my stock motor mounts, 28k and the passenger side was physically damaged, and the symptoms you describe were not evident.

I don't have any "symptoms" that I have noticed. Everything seems in order.

The only reason I changed mine was I noticed shitty shifting (noisy, jerky, hesitant) and then I looked at the engine with the hood open and revved the car and saw the damn engine nearly bang against my passenger inner bay. And sure enough, as my video shows...that passenger mount was totally shot. So if you don't have any of the symptoms I listed, and you like the way the car is feeling, then don't make trouble where there ain't none.
