Hey guys, wanted to start a thread to show you some of the exciting things VTT has upcoming in 2018.

GC REBOOT

Let's get started with the GC Reboot! That’s right, we took our already potent GC line up, and did a ground-up redesign, getting rid of some things we didn't like, and adding things we wanted to improve.

Key Features of the GC 2.0 reboot are as follows:
• 100% designed, and cast for VTT: this is not a partnership with any other company
• All new castings with VTT logos front and center
• D5S Ni resist material is used throughout the hot side. This includes Turbine housings as well as manifolds.
• All-New Compressor housings with ribbed inlets to ensure a secure fit from inlet to housing.
• Single piece V-band clamp connection from turbine housing to manifold sized to fit Tial Clamps. No more awkward two-piece clamps to install.
• Our single biggest improvement is the casting of our proprietary turbine wheels in Garrett GT28 profile with a TD04HL shaft to fit the existing GC family bearing housing. Wheels are cast from Inconel 713L. This eliminates the industry-wide TD04HL 9 blade wheel failure problem while improving wheel Aero; even better spool and more flow.
• Full sized GC’s, and GC Lites still available
• Rebooted pricing. With all these improvements the GC line up will cost less when released NOT more.
• ESTIMATED AVAILABILITY DATES
o Late Q1 2018 with special intro pricing on website for GC’s and GClites

ALUMINUM CHARGE PIPE
Next up we have our new VTT Aluminum charge pipes. We have heard many stories of silicone charge pipe issues. While they work perfectly well when installed correctly, the number of install problems lead us to create aluminum charge pipes with the increased flow of the silicone units.

Key Features of the VTT aluminum charge pipes are as follows:
• High flow Y connection to merge both banks
• No more melted outlets from install too close to the manifold
• Available in factory V-band connections, and 1.5” hose connection to fit GC turbos
• Available in 335LHD, 135/535/Z4 these will NOT fit RHD (sorry guys)
• Will be hard powder coated black
• ESTIMATED AVAILABILITY DATES
o Q1 2018

VTT SINGLE KIT
Next, we have what most will see as a departure from the usual VTT philosophy, but we felt it was time to give the N54/N55 platform another option in the popular single turbo section. We still love twins but sometimes you just want a quick-spooling high flow single. We got you covered. :D

Introducing the VTT Cast Manifold V-Band Twin Scroll Bottom Mount Single Turbo line up. Please note while we have been working on this for a while and have many parts cast, these are not expected to be released until spring or summer 2018. Also, note the pictures are representative of our “blank” manifold casting. Our fabricator is adding O2 bungs, and EWG flanges for the N54, and EWG kits. The N55 kits using IWG turbos will use the blank manifold as no O2 bungs or EWG flanges are needed.

Key Features of the VTT V-Band Bottom Mount Single Turbo Kits are as follows:
• Industry-first true twin scroll bottom mount kit using V-BAND connection for ease of install
• EWG and IWG kits will be available. IWG kits will use FACTORY boost control. No need for add-on boxes, or Mac Solenoids
• Competitive pricing
• Fitment for N54 and N55
• JB and DBB options will be available
• Manifold cast from Ni-Resist D5S
• GENUINE Garrett turbochargers used for DBB optioned kits
• Ball Bearing Turbo choices for N54 will include
o Gen2 GTX3076R (600WHP)
o Gen 2 GTX3582R(700WHP)
o GTX3584RS(850WHP) (3076, 3582 available in IWG, or EWG. 3584RS EWG only)
• Journal Bearing Turbo choices for the N54 will include
o GTX3076 sized Journal bearing turbo with IWG control
• Ball Bearing Turbo choices for N55 will include
o Gen2 GTX3076R,
o Gen 2 GTX3582R,
o GTX3584RS (3076, 3582 available in IWG, or EWG. 3584RS EWG only)
• DIRECT plug and play kits will be available for the N55, meaning factory lines, factory downpipes, factory charge pipe connections, etc will be retained.
• Turbo options for the N55 direct plug and play kits will be as follows.
o E- Series 2013, and below PWG N55: GTX3076 sized JB turbochargers, retaining factory boost control
o F-Series 2013+ EWG (Electronic Wastegated) N55: GTX3076 JB, GTX3582 JB retaining factory boost control
• ESTIMATED AVAILABILITY DATES
o N54/N55 EWG kits end of Q2 2018
o N54/N55 IWG kits Q3 2018
o N55 direct replacement kits E-series PWG end of Q2 2018
o N55 direct replacement kits F-series EWG Q4 2018

Not surprised on the single kit - staying twins gives up too much market share. I'm glad the GCs are getting revised - competition is good! Everything looks really nice.

I know another vendor had claimed that the original GC A/R was the same as stock. Is that the case for the revised? Any info on the specific A/R for these?

You mean RB, and his typical BS. Original GC’s are 110million% not stock AR. If they were they would NEVER make the power they do. For comparion on the high speed balancer which uses a 1” air feed line, and native turbine housings to spin the turbos. When balancing Stage 2, 2+ Style turbos in stock N54 housing akin our stock frame upgrades, RB’s, MMP stage 3’s etc. No matter the turbine wheel size, or compressor size. We can spin them up to 200K plus easily, basically instantly. Throw a GC, or GC lite on there, both use the same turbine housing. Same wheel sizes, you will get to 140-150K rpm before the line runs out of flow, and RPM just goes flat. Doesn’t take fancy flow equipment to tell you which one is flowing more. But we do have some real world flow testing coming up that will illustrate this in charts, graphs, and numbers. When you offer the same product for 6 years, it benefits you to attack the others with false claims. As for AR, we won’t be revealing any specifics like that, just as we did not for the orginals. We prefer to give our competitors who are always one step behind as little information to copy from as possible.

Are there prices or estimated prices on these new items. I’m mostly excited for that bottom mount!

I like what I see here, but I gotta laugh... Tony rips on just about every single turbo thread.

"Another single turbo kit... just what we need... clap clap clap".
No sir, if you notice. My comments were usually aimed at another cookie cutter top mount, or single scroll kit etc. The platform sorely needed a true short runner cast manifold twin scroll solution. Not another basket of snakes, laggy top mount kit, or log style single scroll bottom mount. But you are right, I did say that quite a few times...:)

Love the update, GC's seem incredible, seriously nice job. Still have some long-term reliability concerns, but big advancements.

Aren't you the first to talk shit when someone copies a design? Your charge pipe looks identical to the one on my car. Identical. Now I'm all for it, competition breeds excellence and cost reduction, and there's really only one way to make that charge pipe.

No idea what you have on your car, nor have I ever seen it. This design was made from scratch by our fabricator. I gave give him a 335 factory charge pipe, and a 135 factory charge pipe. Told him make this with a true Y merge, and our Vband connectors. I mean, how many ways can you do a y merge, and aluminum charge pipe? Yes I do talk shit about companies that hang on out coattails, and copy what we innovate.

Shall I make a list of N54 products VTT originated, and were copied by others? It will be a long one, but if you want it it won’t be hard to type up.

Our charge pipe will come in under $200, I literally have no clue who makes the one you are talking about, nor how much it costs. To be honest, don’t really care. Sorry..:)

I like this. Going with Garrett turbos is going to make this super reliable. Nice move Tony.
Also you are the kind of guy that puts out ton of data, Im looking forward to seeing everything on the bottom mount.

This is 100% accurate. Twin scroll bottom mount cast manifolds will be the new thing IMO. The bridge between twins and typical single kits, but with performance for the masses, rather than people aiming for 1k and spool at 6k rpm.
