Every few months I'll lose an entire day pretending like I'm going to get a widebody for my car. The one I keep going back to is the Prior Design, but it costs $20k so I'll just have to pretend my car is nice or design my own. What kit do you like the best?

I want a widebody kit with Mtech front and rear; with M3 front fenders and side skirts. Too bad Prior didn't go this route… If somebody brings one to market, they should make it look as OEM as possible and price it for the working man, like NRW did with the paddle shifters. I emphasize OEM, because not everybody wants to look like Fast and Furious on the way to work.

I've considered doing exactly this in fact. But it won't be until next year that I get around to tinkering with it more and considering potential production possibilities. Also, considering I have an E93 it would be made initially for my own car and I am not really interested starting a business, perhaps just recover my costs.

Ping me when you get around to this—I'm in for sharing the dev/production expenses.

I’ve had pretty much every ‘kit’ out there to widen the e90 (fender flares, Hard Motorsports, WTCC). Without question the best kit for the e90 is the WTCC widebody.

Right, except in a couple of kits including this one:

And this one isn't bad:

What you've shown has an extreme ledge extending all the way out past the light, which feels like an eye sore to me.

If the LB kit was just a little less wide and didn't flare out so forward of the rear wheel arch, I'd be all about it. I just don't get why there isn't a good tasteful widebody out yet for these cars. Wtcc would be my vote for an e90 though.

Forgive me if this comes across as being rude, but on an e92 it’s called converting to an M3 widebody. Nothing beats factory fit/finish and it’s a nice upgrade for non-M’s. Believe the M is 1.5” wider than the non-M which translates to almost 40mm of added width/wheel. Nice upgrade IMO + no tacky half functional bolt on fenders.

I'm split on the look of rivet on fenders. It looks more race car if you want that look. So, it all depends on your goal. The oem M3 panels are certainly nice, but having the rears installed correctly is the only way to do it...which is expensive. With over fenders and cutting, there isn't really a "right" way, nor are there oem inner fenders. So, some sloppiness is expected. Whereas with oem panels, it better look perfect. It's also just a clone with oem panels. So...
