If you buy the adapter and blasting wand, I've gotten everything else from Harbor Freight. You just need a compressor, shop vac, and abrasive blaster. If you only plan on doing this once or twice, you can get by using HF gravity feeder. I use the pressurized tank, makes it more efficient, but obviously a little more money. Then just takes a couple fittings from home depot to attach the wand to the blaster. If anybody has walnut blasting questions, feel free to hit me up.

I'm guessing the process would be fairly similar on the N55?

I bought a 26 gallon compressor from HF. It's been solid for me man. You can always message me and I'll walk you through the process. Also get a remote starter switch to bump the valves to close. Safer, easier, and faster than manually cranking the motor.

Got any pics of your set up? I need to get the vacuum and wand adapter.

I'll take some pictures today and post them of my setup.

How long does the job take you from start to finish? Just curious.

Looks like it took pretty fast for you.
Should definitely offer this as a service for your area maybe.

Best time to do it man before you install your new manifold. Especially if you are gonna be running PI, you shouldn't have to worry about it again really.

My N54 is just about ready for this. To do myself or take it to a local BMW guy.. probably take it in as the intervals are not frequent at all. Great info though

Ya, right tools being key. Just make sure you're all prepared before going forth.
