Xclutch twin disc Organic, modified CDV (restriction removed), idle 850.
Interesting. I have it completely deleted, as in I completely removed it from the line and my rpm is set to 950 in order to help not stall out coming out of first gear. I wonder if the valve body itself restricts the flow a little more even with the restrictor punched out than not having it in-line at all.

Good question, I don't know. My bet is that it's negligible if at all given the length of the valve.

Xclutch twin organic. No CDV.
Floating intermediate sound on clutch depression does not bother me at all. Engagement is very high and more sudden in the pedal release. I increased my clutch stop length to reduce the dead space and coded the clutch depressed to start out using ProTool. That made finding the engagement point easier. Installed for two weeks only so far, getting used to 1st gear take-off, less forgiving than stock. Other shifts are minimally different to stock.

I hated the CDV with stock clutch but have wondered if one, or a modified CDV with larger orifice size could help with 1st gear abruptness. Otherwise left foot just needs to get with the program.....

xclutch 9" twin plate ceramic unsprung, no cdv, stock 660ish rpm idle
car does rattle during idle but if i raise my idle the car rolls too fast during traffic jams

clutch is awesome but its just impossible to stop start uphill without dumping the clutch
i have stalled after buckling at a traffic light and someone ran into me from behind....

Higher idle helps with smooth take offs. I can just lift my foot off the clutch without any gas if it's flat. Helped drivability and the only noise I get is when I press the pedal
You use 1100?

850 I can let out slowly, but sometimes still stall it if I try to get lively out of the hole. Guess I suck lol

Yea, I could probably lower it a bit. It's either 1050 or 1100, I forget. It's just quieter at higher rpm. I have green revshift motor mounts and akg trans cups with stiffer rubber mounts. I don't drive it in the winter. My only complaint is it is a bit fast for parking lots. But how long am I really in a parking lot... You just get a feel for it.
