Hi all,

I keep getting the over-boost warning on i-Drive under partial throttle acceleration. It goes away after I restart the car.
I never had this issue when I ran JB4 with BEF.
Where should I look to solve this issue?

My car is a 1M with Cone filters, upgraded inlet tubes, stock turbos and straight down pipes.

Thanks,
Johnson

Any other changes besides going flash only from stacked with JB4?

A friend had this issue recently after he swapped turbos and had the wg actuators adjusted too tight.

Have you logged? Are you overboosting?

I have logged only WOT and everything seemed fine. I guess I should log some partial throttle runs, although the warning doesnt come on every time.. lucky me.. haha

I didnt touch the wastegate, although I did upgrade to cone filters and inlets from stockies.

The MHD OTS maps are not designed to be run with upgrades inlets. You may need a custom tune.

Hey guys iv been searching for forums like this.. I have fbo running state 2+ MHD v8 Flex fuel.. cars been running great, pulls insanely hard.. Just did Inlets as well and having hesitation.. at full throttle.. at times, mid gears(3-4th) and low speeds... I dont get codes.. just hesitation... then all a sudden a kick in the pantes power.. its very inconstant... here are logs before and after inelts. Sorry for teh shit log.. after inlets. i did aWOT 3rd gear pull and forgot to stop logging. Thanks... i was wondering if a custom tune needed to be fixed.

After inlets it's recommended to get a custom tune
Ok.. mhd said that to. But I contacted wedge tuning and will have to drastically cut down my ethanol.. Or supplement my gas via pi or spool hpfp add on. Im waiting to hear from another tuner to see his recommendation.. Which are prob going to be similar

Im running flex fuel. I have never gone over 50%.. but most recent while the inlets was running about 40%
As long as you have a lpfp upgrade your stock hpfp should be able to handle 40-50% depending on it's health till you need to add PI or the spool helix

Yes I have fuel it stage 2 lpfp. Wedge says that if he tunes me for my new inlets, I'll gave to drop the ethanol a bit..I get it.. something had to compensate.. im ok with less than e40 Max and great consistent power band with no hesitation.. so.. in waiting on another tuner to give me details

Wedge doesn't tune anyone high e anymore. To many people blame the tuner for lack of maintenance and e85 is very high maintenance as far as it exposes issues that might go unnoticed otherwise.

I run the motive flex fuel. They recommend staying under e60 with out port injection. I have been very conservative as I said.. I never went over e50.. really the highest I hit was 47.%. im willing to stay 40 or under if I get a tune for inlets that makes it responsive. Honestly..I should have just kept my original inlets. The car pulled great... I really don't recommend the inlets.. Im in the future going to do pure stage 2... But for stock.. inlets suck and according to mhd.. Need a tune for that. Jb4 I guess has an option for over boost and a set map.. @mhd should step up there's game

Well with a jb4 the dme doesnt see the actual boost thats being requested or acheived, so running inlets with a bef I would imagine is fine on that setup because the car never knows about the overboost.

That said, its cheaper to get a custom flash only tune than to add a jb4 and keep running OTS base files.

Yes I agree.. Im going to do a custom..I want to stick with one tune.. keeps things simple. Just would like to rid of the jerking/ hesitation an a nice smooth power. I'll need to do a clutch I imagine next year. Im at 83k miles. Is not my daily.. But im pushing the limits here
