So I've been working with the local fabricator for close two two years and we are on the home stretch and should be ready by Christmas.

The base is billet and so is the plenum base but the dome is pressed sheet metal.

Its going to be around half the weight of whats available atm most likely 12 to 13 pounds without the pi rail and injectors.

It will be fully tested against the fabfactory manifold and hopefully will have independent testing done early in january

Let me know if your interested and tell me some features you would like to see thats not currently available

Yes will come with charge pipe and wiring extension for the boost sensor.

They dont make a wiring male throttle body plug, Ive been looking

I normaly extend them manually using the local auto electrician

Price for manifold hasnt been set yet, pending final production costs.

But it will be very competitive with the rest of the market.

Being billet is probably too rich for my blood but I would suggest making sure the throttle body doesn't have to mount upside down. That kills me about the sharp/Alibaba one.

Cause there's so many unique ways to make an intake manifold right?

There are several ways, but Eric had the first forward facing N54 sheet metal intake manifold that I'm aware of.

You got it the other way around LOL

I Like competition.

There is no competition, his intake manifold was the prototype for FabFactory, who is no longer producing manifolds. That has came and gone before you have a working unit so I don't see how he has it backwards.

im auto with 3''from outlet intercooler-CP to throttle body and i clear. You just have to angle it carefully.rather the 3''
Man I tried all sorts of ways even sliding over cooler couldn’t make it work had to mod mine with the docrace intake manifold charge pipe.

The fabricator ive been working with has been making these type of manifolds for over 15 years and he knows exactly what works and what doesn't, so nothing new about forward facing manifolds they been around for longer than the n54 motor.

But once its out it will all become clear this is not something thats been slapped together or rushed to get it out to the masses.

All im saying these type of manifolds are nothing new and we didn't copy any one's work but that will become apparent once we launch.

Also it will come in just about any finish the customer wants.

I was never implying that any copying was going on. I just know you have a billet manifold from Shawn at FabFactory and the sheet metal one I have was custom made for my power goals. I would say the best advantage to a sheet metal plenum is heat dissipation, the weight difference is irrelevant IMHO. I think you will be happier with a sheet metal manifold. Look forward to seeing the final results. If you're interested in some pics of the construction of my manifold I would be happy to post some for you. P.S and thank you for all you're help with the fuel line upgrades. I went with Kryptalon lines

Why not just buy a sharps/ Phoenix racing/ whatever it is, so far yours looks alot like that one. They are pretty good quality. Im working on a charge pipe for mine just haven't decided what design to go with. Good luck!

Edit: I know its different than the Chinese made one, it just looks about the same size/ placement.

All good Eric, glad you choose those lines

How soft are they, get them in anywhere.

Paul im sure the Chinese one is ok but we optimised this manifold for the n54 motor and should see significant gains in the mid and top end, so it doesn't fall over like it does now after 6000rpm.

All good in theory but still need real world testing and this should happen in the next few weeks.

We are in no rush and want to bring a decently priced, light weight solution to the market.

Less weight, better heat dissasipation and for the hardcore a heat dissasipation coating should keep those temps right down.

I already have pipes made for the ff, it wouldn't be hard to rejig for the new one.

Definitely interested in how this turns out, especially if it's competitively priced. I'll be needing a metal intake manifold at some point this winter, and since I stuck with twins I'm trying to balance out that top end too. I think a front facing manifold would compliment the Schrick cams and help me achieve a very nice powerband.

Any more detailed pics of how it is in it's current form? Specifically the inside, I'm curious (and hopeful) if it has/will have the velocity stacks some of the Sharp manifolds have. And will it be offered in multiple forms? I'm hoping to stick to DI only and would rather not have to plug injector holes
