Also mind you.. This is literally an EZ LIP off amazon hahaha.

The goal is to show simple cheap option that you can DIY at home easy.

While we had made some rigid models the shipping costs combined with the lower cost of the M3 Cowl ($300ish) made me direct attention elsewhere where margins are better

This is just testing to see if it works overtime and if so I will post links and a DIY for a slim cowl water tract :)

Not only should the slim cowl keep out water, but it should also help to prevent engine fumes getting into the cabin with the fresh air fan on, which fumes are most noticeable while idling, during startup, and by one’s spouse. (Ask me how I know, lol)

Also how about making covers for guys that have the cowl filters covering them with it opened at the bottom so no rain or when washing car dont have to worry about any wetness getting past that point.

Isn’t the design you’re suggesting essentially recreating the stock cowl?

Yes,thought that was a nice idea but out of plastic.maybe a 3D printer.if someone has a old stock top filter and just cut out the large filter portion, then your left with just the covers.instead of aluminum

Had that idea but the bms filters wont fit under it.

Thats what made me create the alloy covers and had them powder coated to look like the factory finish

Its expensive to make as its all done by hand

If there was enough demand i could get it made in china and bring down the cost significantly.

Ha.. "engine fumes". You mean the aroma of oil dripping onto the exhaust then getting sucked into the cabin.

"I love the smell of BMW in the morning!"

If your engine leaks after getting it fixed, you need a different mechanic.

I've got a 335 with 100k miles and it doesn't leak a drop on original gaskets and seals.

My 1m I could cook on and eat of the engine itself. LOL

Nah seriously these engines aren't as bad as people make them out to be, by far one of the most reliable
setups I've had over the last 30 years.

I like the hex carbon design for any part you apply it to. If you build it, I will buy it. I have an e92 and money in hand. Lol
