N54 water pump

hello everyone i'm interested in one thing my water pump died on n54 and someone told me that i can install 3.0 n52 water pump instead of original n54 water pump.
so the question: is that possible and will it work if i change water pump + thermostate from n52 to n54

I wouldn't do that, the N52 pump does not flow near what the N54 pump flows. FCP euro sells a kit with a lifetime warranty. Do it right the first time.
