I bought a Speedtech kit solely because the runners are truly separated until they reach the T4 flange. Every other kit merges into 2 tubes, and then into the T4 flange. Combining exhaust gases before the flange is a common "no-no", but space constraints usually make that difficult. Ideally, a turbo manifold would have equal length runners that are separated until the Divided flange. I've done about 20 WOT pulls on my Speedtech kit, and I love how much heat the cast holds compared to the Gauged scheduled tube that lights up red hot during extended spirited drives.
No melted valve covers, easy access to the Wastegate, won't burn through ABS wire, won't melt Washer fluid tube, good manifold design, no burning through paint on the hood, no wrapping every single area with DEI gold, and 5 layers of heat wrap.

My doc kit never fit correctly and it's a pain in the arse if you ever need to remove the turbo. I'm relocating it to in front of the engine for better serviceability.

I'd do a bottom mount.

Thank you for your input that was the kit i was leaning towards, was CES one of your options and you chose the speedtech kit over CES? Which turbo are you running?

I took one look at their log style manifold and laughed. If you look at the wastegate placement, it's damn near butted up to the firewall, and right against the shock tower area. Switching springs will be a task. The ces kit comes with cool things like the tank res relocation kit, but I consider that extra "fluff." The speedtech manifold is far superior in design, and jeff has answered all my emails within a 3 hour window. Damn good.

Using a 6266 gen2 bb.. I have a build thread somewhere.. lol

What is wrong with their manifold?

CES kit wastegate placement is fine. Easy to swap spring when you want, just remove the wastegate.

How do you figure it's superior in design? Have you done any testing or are you just speculating?

Seriously? Its beyond well known and very well documented that a log style manifold in general do not flow as efficient compared to manifolds that truly merge at th flange. I don't need to personally test anything when it's already been documented many times before.
You don't have to agree with my "speculation" just do some homework.😁 mixing exhaust pulses is a no-no.

It’s not a no-no and max flow isn’t necessarily the most important attribute. It depends on what your goals are. Log will spool faster, equal length will have better top end flow.

Who said we are just going for flow? You.
Im not going to bicker here when the data is all over the place. There's a blatant reason why 80% of most communities look down at log style manifolds. Mixing exhaust pulses IS a no-no for sure and generates tons of heat. Most can't get away with it due to space constraints. True divided manifolds are more efficient damn near everytime. It's when you compare bottom mount, to top mount is where stuff is a little different. Have good one guys.. hope google helps.

I suggest the top mount if you are into roll racing and highway pulls. Bottom mount for anything else. Each will have it's issues if you research. If you go top mount, get a Doc Race kit. It is true there are some adjustments needed during install but that usually revolves around the motor mounts you are using. I question the subtle advantages of the other kits vs. DR are worth the hassle of dealing with any company other than DR. I can tell you the welds and quality of parts used on my DR kit looks better than 99.9% of the other kits I have scene.

Best part about the DR kit is you can buy a kit today and have it in a few days or maybe 1 to 2 weeks as DR frequently forward builds and stocks inventory. With most others, you have to make a down payment and pray to Jesus they keep giving some sort of update over the course of several months. If would you need a gasket or some piece of hardware on a DR kit they offer great support and can have it at your door in a few days. You are lucky if some of the other vendors would even respond to your email.

Interesting points about the supply chain of DocRace. I like the design and implementation of the Speedtech kit but worry about needing something down the line.

Lets not turn a blind eye to another keyword.

I'm digging the content, thanks everyone. If I didnt have to get inspected every 2 years (Cali) I would probably go DOC RACE because of the support and quality, looks aint bad either. However, since I am in a pretty strict smog state I prefer to be low key and go bottom mount. I'm pretty set on SPEEDTECH with a GTX3582r or a Gen2 6266; since I have heard numerous positive things about Jeff. I was checking out 4N since they are here in California but cant find anyone running that kit or much info on it. Again, thanks you all for the input!

Get the speed tech and 6266 and you'll be a happy camper

I went with the 6266 as well. If I had the choice to buy again I likely would have done the borgwarner. No particular reason aside from borgwarner being an extremely solid turbo manufacterer. Can't go wrong with garrett at all.

IF I hadn't gone all in on a proper twin setup I would have gone with Speedtech and a GTX3576. Jeff is great.

CES looks nice, but support is absent, sent numerous emails to Leen, and nothing. 4N? Vendor wasn't interested in communicating any info about the kit or options. Motiv is by far the best manifold though, SS or not.

Borgwarners are solid, they are journal bearing right? Which one is comparable to the 6266?
