The radio / iDrive off is intentional, so that changing maps doesn't change your channel, etc. 2009+ iDrive should turn back on when you exit mapswitch mode. Regular radio you have to turn back manually

Regular radio, or iDrive? And what car?

iDrive CIC. Screen comes back after exiting switching. But audio is gone across the board via either usb /radio/bluetooth.

So still factory amp i take it? I was thinking it may have been my upgraded amp causing the no sound after the switch. but doesn't look like it.

FYI Guys,

The thor adapter doesnt work very well.

Ive tried multiple units, different phones etc. always fails to write to my dme.Same thing with most of my buddies. So now I have to go into winkfp and do the entire process again.

So if you dont have access to a winkfp computer, then dont use the adapters to flash your car.

The orange MHD adapter is much better suited, we had some firmware tweaks done to it. For longer writes you should have a quality battery charger hooked up. And on your phone, airplane mode and Bluetooth off, with just wifi on.

I flashed a DME over 100 times during development of all this and had no issues.

Yeah I had all of the above done. My buddy picked up an mhd flasher so i might snatch it off of him.

Is there anything else I can do to fix the failed to write besides the winkfp reflash?
My laptop was erased and I dont wanna spend a few hours reinstalling etc.

Failed write can always be recovered with MHD.

It wont erase, it immediately fails.

Yea that is typically a low battery symptom, seen it many times. Let it charge for a long time.

Wierdly enough, my battery was at 12.4V. I kept light pressure on the mhd adapter and it worked. Now I have to wait for ken to get back so i can get the canbus map from him.

Zero to 60 has done a video on anti lag

agree with him it’s more useful big single cars
this will help the big cars at the track and we might yet see more cars the 9s On the quarter and roll racing…. @Brule have you tried it yet.

Impossible unless calculated or probes installed

Hrm, check your pins in the OBD port, one of them might be getting pushed out a bit, causing a bad connection.

It is a modeled value, but it is the fastest to respond out of most of the DME's EGT models, so it is better than nothing.
