@Dreyo27
I saw your video:
At first glance it looked like you used a bunch of bluetooth stuff but I realize now you went with all wired parts so I'm going to attempt this. I'm already doing my backup camera, and since the box I bought (Xcarlink) also does the backup camera with the dynamic lines, I figured I'd spend the extra money and get it instead of doing the backup camera emulator separately which may or may not interfere with my aux display setuip.
And am going to attempt something similar, except with a CIC from my 2009 E93. I'd like to be able to flash with the unit as well, and I noticed you had it wired up in a way that when you unlocked the car the android stick turned on. Doesn't this mean that it will stay on so long as the ignition stays on as well and a USB battery isn't actually necessary?
Also, since the audio is pretty muffled its hard to make out a lot of those instructions, but do you have any general advice on how you'd go about doing the wiring or any different combination of wires/parts you'd use if you did it a second time?
Also, did you ever try fitting the touch screen overlay? How bad would it be to use? Perhaps modifying it so it shows a cursor while hovering would help determine where your finger is in relation to the screen? Kind of like a Note stylus.
Thanks
