Sup guys saw this section here and I figured I would post, so I've been into gaming since I was a little kid. Started with Runescape of course and played all the popular shooter games when I was younger, now I specifically play World of Warcraft and Overwatch. I started playing WoW when I was 12, and now I'm 21.. I guess you could sort of call me a nerd lol but I still get out and about. Anyways here is my computer build, I started with a Toshiba Qosmio X70

-17.3 inch LED with 1920x1080 resolution
-16GB DDR3L RAm
- 2.4GHz Intel Core i7-4700MQ (3.4GHz Turbo)
- 1TB hybrid HDD (5400rpm)/256GB SSD
- Intel HD 4600/GeForce GTX 770M (3GB)
- red back lit keyboard
- Harman Kardon speakers
- Corsair RGB gaming mouse


Anyways if anyone needs some help with computers or picking out whats best for them, just let me know!

The only laptop I have these days is a surface pro 3, I primarily use my desktop which I built in 2015.

The PCI-E SSD is by far my favorite part. The NVMe version wasn't out when I built my PC, but it still hauls ass. I also have a corsair mechanical keyboard, logitec g502 mouse, etc.

I don't play a lot of games anymore, I quit WOW back in 2009 but I started when the cap just changed from 60 to 70. I had an 80 Priest, Rogue, Mage and played in the 1900-2000 brackets of 2's and 3's arena. I do play league now and then. My gaming history is varied since I'm a bit older, 32, but I got somewhat competitive playing Age of Empires 2, Command and Conquer Tiberian Sun, quake 3 arena, and a few others.

I have two XB1, a PS4 Pro and picked up a PS4 Slim the other day and a Wii U. I have all the last gen consoles as well but they just sit.

My TV is a 70" from back in 2011, so time to upgrade. I think I'm going to wait to buy a new Samsung 4k set this holiday, or perhaps wait and see if they have any new TVs with FreeSync.

Damn you played wow? I literally started playing in 2008 or 2009 i think. Crazy stuff right there, Thats a really good computer lol. I love toshiba, i got to 2400 in 3's but I'm mainly a raider. I've been a top parsing dps for many years now. I main a frost DK.

I stopped playing mmos when I met my ex wife. I did play ESO for a while but I got bored after hitting vet 4 or something then they did away with vet ranks and went with champion points or something, ultimately got bored of that and I just do this site and the fb group.

Yeah this is definitely much easier than playing an MMO lol.

I'm running a Qosmio X505 with the 18.4" screen. It's currently in a million pieces though. The laptop has run hot since day one, so that's not unusual, but it began overheating the video card as soon as the video card is stressed in the least a year ago or so.

I ordered a used motherboard from eBay, it includes a video card, so we'll give that a shot.

Yes they all run hot, its definitely an issue from what I read up on. Are you using dedicated graphics?

I just built my desktop recently as my old one was getting outdated.
