I've been judging how well I 60' based off what internet data I can find, the 10 sec lists and such. I think I do pretty damn well, on street tires. Then this guy comes along and makes this claim, no slips I can find to back anything up. I've asked for proof, as have others, nothing.
Like the X Files, I want to believe. But I really don't think it's true. It's so far outside of the norm that it sounds like bull shit.

So, I'm looking for any low 60' slips from stock auto trans cars. Any tire, any setup. Be interesting to get a list together to see what works and what doesn't.
I personally have about 300 slips with my car from 4 different drag strips, all on the same tires though.

Im not calling BS, although need to know tires. Doing that on stock open diff is surprising though.

There are N54 guys cutting 1.5s.
I think 1.4s are wishful thinking.

Chances are he's either confusing what @1freakyfast335 cut for a 60' (since he holds the stock auto 1/4 mile record), thinking the Aussie's were on stock trans instead of powerglides or he thinks Dorsey James's 60' was quicker than 1.6.

There is a good chance there's some N54s out there doing excellent track numbers that don't have an account on any of the forums/dont post slips on FB, but I'd be surprised if no one else had already posted their runs online.

Think its optimistic everyone thinks their car faster than it is I had a 13 sec flat fox body almost all stock converted to carb and I used to embarrass people that thought they had 12 sec cars all time. Then I had another car that was on et streets and was a mid 12 car that could destroy high hp cars and with all this exp I still would have sworn my car is 11 sec car by way feels on street until you try and launch it lol. But still these cars are so unforgiving on launch every time you want to swear to yourself you will get it right next time but it just dont happen. Point is unless you have been disappointed at track with this car you prob honestly would believe your car will perform better than it does that's prob with spec racing. You can really get caught out their when someone pulls your n54 card

On my old 6AT e92 I used to cut consistant 1.7 60' times, 1.6 was a rare occurrence but did happen a few times. All on 200 treadwear street tires. Never did need to put a DR or slick on it. I was just an FBO 6AT back then and pulling 11.7-11.9 times consistently.

You have an absolute oddball then.

Let me ask this, 1st or 2nd gear starts?

When i had my 135 my 60's where regularly 1.6 to 1.7 but i did hit 1.4 twice out of hundreds of runs.

Could have been a fluke or timing error but that was on nt01 semis

On my 2011 N55 xDrive I was cutting 1.70's all the time on garbage Chinese tires. Car ran a best of 12.41 @ 110.

Street tires could mean alot. If they 200 tw vs if they some high performance summer ? Makes big diff but if that's on like v12s or something that's not bad. Now I am curious the guys that cut real good times at what power level did it make sense to start using first again or second is just as strong and takes abuse even on dr

These cars are crazy alright.
I have DCT. Can't brake boost and no clutch pedal.

I was first on some Hankook tyres so I decided to get some Pilot super sport. Thought that was the solution. Much better tread pattern than the Hankooks I had. Made no difference.
Then I got some Toyo R888. Again. 60fts were still terrible. Like 2.3 to 2.6 most of the time. Got the ocassional 2.1

Tried launch control. Still 2.3 to 2.6. WTF!!!

Often the car bogged or it launched, spun the tyres and TC kicked in.

I believe the track I go to has terrible prep though. It's more like a no prep track.

Then one day I managed to nail some good starts. It only took about 24 months. 2 back to back runs in the 11's on stock turbos with something like a 1.9 60ft.

Very frustrating. I got the best starts blipping the throttle (to engage LC) and then launching at lower revs.

A friend has some Hoosiers that he might let me try some time but I think he still often gets 2.0 60 fts brake boosting on his automatic 335.

Great suggestion! Now we can get some good technique sharing. Ive been stumped. I have mmp s3, every bolt on, pr coil kit, PI kit. Suspension, lsd, 315 35 r17 NTO5R drag radial. Light weight rims from apex.twisted tune at 30psi xhp stage 4 flash. And for my life cannot cut a 1.5. I cant launch under boost as i get a code for brake plausibility
