I noticed in there website:
----------------------------------------
Add a brand new HPFP to make sure your VTT Shotgun HPFP upgrade is working to its full potential!
The Shotgun system fits most N54 models, and N55 models 2011 only. If you have a question about your model please drop us an email!

PLEASE NOTE! This product does NOT fit E6X 5 series chassis, XI models or models with Active Steering! The Shotgun HPFP system works by spinning your stock HPFP faster, thus increasing its fuel flow significantly. This REQUIRES upgraded LPFP's on the supply side of you cannot supply enough fuel for the increased flow, and your rail pressure will not improve. We suggest running a minimum of two Walbro 450's on the supply side for proper operation of the shotgun system.
-------------------------------

So there is no way ?

I would assume no if it says it doesn't but you could always call or email them to confirm

I have active steering, I bought the kit and tried to install it but it does not fit.
1) the active steering pump banjo hits the pulley assembely. (lots of grinding might make it fit)
2)even if you solve 1, your HPFP will not fit as it hits the massive steering rack assembely.

I recently swapped my steering over from active steering to regular and made it work. Here are a few pictures

Tony was actually pretty cool about it with me and made things right.

Nice, so you got it working with a normal rack and pump?

Yes, it starts. Haven't driven it because I have a fuel drip between the rail and the cylinder 3 hardline. Not sure if it's the rail or the line. I have a new line that just arrived. Going to swap that to see if it seats against the rail. If not then I will reach out to VTT about getting a replacement rail.

Depending on what you want to do with a car it might work.

I want to daily drive mine at 30psi and 700whp. I want the OEM ECU to control everything for reliability. That's why I put in the effort and making the VTT KIT FIT. Also it's an amazing hit with great fitment, you can see it took VTT a lot of R&D to develop it right.

Yes, but I think all the work is worth it. VTT shotgun kit should be a lot more reliable and a lot more consistent. To me those are important attributes. I seen a lot of people who had PI switch to the shotgun kit's. I have never heard of people who had a VTT shotgun kit go to PI. So I realized it's important to do it right the first time around.

I run double shotgun kit AND PI. I also had pin leak on rail where new fitting is. I had to have it rewelded. Works fine now.

I do agree with you.

PI is the second choice. I prefer DI only.

in the past week .I saw a mhd update, i believe it is a very much important update for PI users.
It says: brings a PI safety update . when dme cut the injectors, it also cut the coils now.

I believe this may solve some PI caused failures who was missing fire on WOT , PI keep doing , but injector cut.

at this point, i turn to PI for a second choise.

the whole steering system and coding for a non-active steering is very expensive.

maybe PI is more popular for these cars.

just my own thoughts.

very nice to talk with you.
