Hey guys, so finally got my pure stage 2 high flows on. Inlets and outlets went back on as well.
I stayed with the jb4, (mhd low timing no spool) e50 and meth right now as well.
I searched around here and we don't have any info on base settings to get up and rolling (not over boosting)
Need to at least make sure she is all good be for I ask to get her all tuned :)

Trust me I would have posted a log but i can't particularly take one ;) it's 1-boost safety in a blink.

I set the duty bias to the settings in this link and still no luck http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=33200

The JB4 log would let me see your settings, in addition to what behavior the turbos are producing, as boost starts to build. So record a short log, even on a low map like map1, if needed.

A common mistake is not setting the "disable RPM FF gain" setting under FutureUseD bits.

Thanks Terry I definitely didn't disable that. I just did and haven't driven it yet. It's plain yuk outside but is supposed to dry up. When it does I can probably grab a log

It's one of the settings in the default hybrid settings page, details matter here. :)

Really? I read the one I have link like 10 time and just read it over again and still can't find where it says that. You always update the first post, is it deeper in the post and I missed it maybe?

Adding on to that, I feel like I for sure did one decent pull that stayed around 21psi
I looked at menus 10-12 and changed 12 back up because I felt I zeroed it by accident. Pulled a little and realized right away that the FF rpm gain turned off zeroed it so zeroed it back out. Pulled again and that is the log you see.

For stage 1 turbos should we also disable ff rpm gain? Or are they so similar to stock turbos it doesn't matter

Did you do some custom settings on your FF back when you were stock turbo? I'm no JB4 guru but I think your FF setting is too high.

FF Curve = Internal Mapping * duty bias/50 * FF/100

Based on how I'm reading Tony's documentation your FF setting of 148 is scaling everything up by 48%. I might be totally off base as I've never done this before but I'd reset the FF back to 100 as Tony advised in his hybrid setup thread you linked to in the original post.

FF is way above WGDC... Lower FF to 80.
FUA should be set to 0.
Meth safety mode should be set to 0 (default progressive safety, e.g. max safety)

Like I said, details matter. The hybrid default settings are default settings for a reason. ;)

I'll do all that for sure but am I following the instructions and settings on an old news thread, the link I have above is literally hybrid turbo settings and it says none of this I'd like to attach that to this thread for others on spoolstreet.. is there a different post?

Yes there was lots of other settings changed when I was stock turbo by trebila @dyezak do you know this thread or see where it is in the link? I usually follow directions and find info pretty good.

Thanks a lot guys, I hope this can help some others when the time comes

You linked the default settings in your first post?

Only difference is instead of 100 I said lower FF to 80, as I'm guessing that is where it will wind up. But, it has FUD there, has FUA there, has meth safety there, etc.

I'm sorry the way I read that was the duty bias in that screen shot not the rest of the page.. technically I used too much detail because it says "Larger turbos require special duty bias adjustments to get boost on target. Note default settings below as a starting point." lol ;)

Well all's well that ends well and I really appreciate the help on a Sunday! Houston we have lift off! 16lbs on the no spool low timing and it's the fastest my car has ever ever ever been! I think there is quite a bit more head room ;
