Who here as swapped out their HPFP ? Did you use rebuilt or brand new ? Purchased from ?
Looking to swap mine out. I can replace either way, but if a rebuilt is just as good and half the price, ill go that route. If brand new is the best option, where is the cheapst to purchase from ? Thanks in advance.

My son is parting out his 335i. I think he still has his HPFP.

No info on how old it is but I'm sure it was replaced back when they all were under the recall. His car ran strong with MHD Stage 2 so it seems the pump should be good.

Thanks but mine has not failed. It is having a little bit of a struggle on straight E85 , pi, and about 600whp. Original and 75k on motor so just looking for a fresh one to throw in there.

If you decide to purchase one from eBay. Make sure it isn't through "DrFuelPump". I purchased one from him and although it says it has a lifetime warranty, they don't reply to you when you need to swap it out.

Good to know, thanks ! I wanted to go FCP but they are out of stock. ECS has rebuilt and brand new. Just wanting to see if I can get away with rebuilt with what im running, or if brand new is a better approach.

Another question. Anyone know the power limits of a HPFP on E85 ? Port injection equipped.

Mine is rebuilt from FCP. Have about 14k miles of full e85 use no issues.

ECS seems to have the pump in stock with the same part number as the one I got from FCP.

Kind of a moot question as you would just turn up the PI duty cycle and/or get bigger port injectors.

DI only the HPFP maxes out around mid to high 400s whp.

Thanks for those responses ! Yes im aware of turning up pi to relieve hpfp. Problem is, if I do that, trims start crashing since DME sees too much fuel.

Yes, but flat lining trims at 0 is not good. Only at that point does hpfp look OK.

You cant buy hpfp pumps brand new they are all rebuilt even from bmw.

Don't know why some sellers are saying they are brand new but when you look at the part number on the pump its old version

The only difference im assuming the remanufactured ones are only partially rebuilt and the more expensive ones are totally overhauled

Ive seen a few remanufactured ones fail but if you have a warranty like fcp euro who cares just keep swapping them out

Good to know. I understand the FCP deal as I have purchased from them before, HOWEVER, I dont care about spending double if it will have a higher reliability rate. But you say there is no actual brand new hpfp available so......

Is that a newer version or the problematic ones ? Rebuilt im assuming ? Once again, this is only to try and resolve a hpfp dip in my logs. 99% of my log is CLEAN. just a quick drop in hpfp and then it jumps right back up.
