I recently converted mine from static to boost referenced with a base pressure of 58 psi. On high boost this lets you have more fuel up top than static for sure.

Still fine tuning my port injection but the injector duty cycle went from 97% to 60 something % up top at 33 psi.

both my pumps are hard wired though ymmv if you keep the EKP.

If you have DI only (shotgun setup) it doesn't really matter, but if you're running PI it's a good idea to be boost referenced, especially at higher boost levels like you're asking about.
