This very first test is with very low boost, and a "soft" shifting setup.Running a DKGECU trans controller to control the gearbox in this old car.
Just wanted to share in case you guys find it interesting :)

Engine made 397 whp with a 6500 rpm limit and 1,6 bar boost, now revs to 7600 and runs 2 bar boost. probably close to 450whp
In the video it only ran 0,6 bar boost for testing.

Here is a video of it with a manual 6 speed, running 1.6 ramping to 1.8 bar boost in 1-4th gear and 2 bar boost in 5th gear.
it struggles with traction, but i kept my friends tuned M3 behind me :)

I love the creativity! I think I recall that controll is courtesy @Nisse Järnet but what is the reason you chose the F8x M4 DCT instead of the surely much less expensive E9X DCT? Is it purely the gear ratios that made this decision or is there something else?

pricing of those gearboxes here in norway is pretty much identical..
And with the very small wheels on a miata i cannot use a 1:1 7th gear so the M4 gearbox is the best choice as i want a decent top speed, i would also run out of gears really fast on the autobahn with a E90 box.now i can get past 300kph if i want to. Not sure iwant to in a miata even if it is no doubt powerful enough :D

Based on where you live I suspect the price is very high compared to the USA, I'm curious as I'd like to source those same gears from an F80 box to use with the E9X valvebody/electronics. I like the gearing in the F80 as well.

Wow. I would love this in my miata. Will these parts to adapt the transmission be available for purchase?

Hollllyyyy hell this is cool! What creativity!

We've been struggling to use the M3 DCT software in our DCT cars, much less transplant an entire transmission into a car AND program it! hahaha Good stuff

Nah.. the gearboxes are 1000euro a piece, not really that expensive :)
