Just like they have done for the N54/N55/S55 @EOSpeed has sent me some photos of their new manifold in testing for the B58. The previous manifolds for the older engines were a cast aluminum construction where the N54 and N55 utilized a front mount air to air intercooler and the S55 had a separate air to water intercooler that sat on top of the manifold. However this changes with the B58 since it's a unified package that Evolution of Speed has recreated in billet with some upgrades and it appears very well built.

Aside from fitting both generations of the B58, the core size is more than doubled, has five utility ports for boost reference and integrates support for port fuel injection directly on the runners. Currently it is installed on the Titan Motorsports Supra and Pure Turbos EU also has one for testing on a M140i. These photos are not final and more information is coming soon.

I wonder if they could make one for the N54/N55 with an air to water heat exchanger build in. That would be really cool for those of us who want to switch to air to water intercooler setups as it would be one less part to have to retrofit. I mean the N54/N55 had a pretty bulky manifold so I mean it should have enough internal room for a heat exchanger set up.

The issue is how many people want to do it? You still need so much more to change from a2a to a2w. I can't see it being profitable. An entire kit well designed would be 3k+ if not significantly more.

How much better is it than a $500 vrsf or bms race a2a IC? I can only see it as an interest for a track only car. Which are rare all things considered.

They can, he even told me he was thinking about it a while ago but I think the issue is as @Torgus says. The luxury money has moved on to the S55/B58 and beyond.

If anything it's just another reason to learn 3d modeling right?
Not really, if I really wanted to switch over I would just retrofit the entire S55 cooling system onto my m2, which should be easily feasible since the m2C exists and shares the same chassis so parts are readily available. Plus it has been done before on the E series n55 so an F series n55 should make it even easier as the intake is already in the right place. Only tricky part is the turbo outlet.

Man I hope they put out IAT comparison results. All we have now is the expensive CSF radiator that can't really show better results, just a 2x capacity.

Agreed. I think the manifold intercooler core is the weak link in that chain. The front mount heat exchanger shows negligible differences and isn't really worth upgrading. I suspect a manifold with a GOOD heat exchanger core will be the right solution.

Would also be interesting to know if the exchanger being in the intake manifold is affected by, or affects the temp of the metal manifold. The stock one being plastic I wouldn't expect it to heat soak from under hood temps. But with this one being metal I could see radiant heat adversely affecting the exchangers performance. Or if it performs very well might actually cool the rest of the manifold.
