I downloaded the new android app for Pro Tools for coding. I inadvertently did something I shouldn't have and now the rear windows only go down about 4 inches at a time (6 down button clicks). This causes the hardtop not to go down and an error that states Window Anti-Tripping Error. I have tried every de-initialization and re-initialization I could find to no avail. I can go into the Junction Box function and set Power Windows to deactivate and the top will go down. It then had a little trouble getting back up but I finally got it to (now I am afraid to put it down again). Anywho.... When I select the down top button the rear windows do go down 4 inches then stops, but the hardtop doesn't acknowledge the rear windows as being down, thus it won't continue. Arrrgggghhhhh.

Any ideas?
Thanks,
Tom

This is for 3 series not sure if it will work....

Power window regulator motors
Initialize as follows:
- Switch ignition ON and close window completely.
- Release window button, then hold switch in Close direction again for
approx. 1 second.
- Open window completely.
- Release window button, then hold switch in Open direction again for
approx. 1 second.
- Close window completely again.
- Release window button, then hold switch in Close direction again for
approx. 1 second.
- Check to make sure one-touch control, anti-trapping and comfort
functions are activated.

Window anti-trap protection
Anti-trapping function does not prevent an object being trapped but
rather limits the trapping force to maximum 80 Nm. The power
window motor is reversed when this force is exceeded.
Anti-trapping function is based on the evaluation of power window
motor Hall sensor pulses. During initialization speed of the Hall
sensor pulses are learned. Speed fluctuations within a certain range
triggers the anti-trapping function.
NOTE-
• If window is not initialized or a faulty hall sensor is detected the
window will only move in small increments.

Thank you.. I will give this a shot. I think I need to take a break and wait until morning. I will update post after a hopefully successful initialization....
