For the guys testing the hydramats, are they being tested in hard turns? If so, what is the safety threshold as far as tank level?

I've had it at an 1/8 of a tank and it pulled gas really well. I'm to scared to go much beyond that honestly.

As should anyone else lol In order for the fpr hoses to stop producing fuel on the hydramats your basically out of fuel, but not so true when you don't have those lines in use.

My question is this, once the car says 0 miles, how many miles have you gone without noticing fuel starvation? Did you do any pulls in that time frame? With a bucketless, I can say that has occurred even when the gauge said I had a few miles left. This is why I want a mat.

To be frank no one should be doing pulls with that amount of gas in the tank but that can even happen when taking a nice turn with say 1/4 tank. As a vendor we cannot control what people do with their cars but at the same time we shouldn't be setting them up failure either.

I've been running this setup for a year now. I've sold a few stage 2 pumps with a hydramat. Not may will pay my price for the stage 3 twin mat.

Have you seen how far down you can run the fuel? I have a stage 2+ bucketless and when it says 0 miles you better get to a pump. I've had fuel starvation moments from getting on it while low as well. Not good for procrastinator a like me.

I know you said $75 for his service, would he source the parts as well and could we just order it all from him?
The off the shelf hydramat will solve your issue.

Op I hope you shaved the bottom of the bucket flat. I would not trust the protrusions on the base against $320 worth of mats.

Just trying to be helpful.

Thanks but I didnt shave it flat, its actually indented where the mats are. They clear perfectly.

I'm aware they fit perfectly. The mats obviously add some hight of the bucket shaving these bumps off will help off set that while not adding any ware to the mats.

You aren't getting it. This is as close to bucketless as you can get without doing something like what Fuel-it has done. I literally have no bottom on the bucket and the sides have been cut to allow the hydramats to push on and connect without rubbing the bottom. The fuel pumps are suspended on the inside with an adapter. You can't really tell from the pictures but once the bucket is in the tank and suspended there is a gap between the bottom of the outside wall of the bucket and the hydramats. The only reason I still have the sides of the original bucket is for the float and so that the fuel return line sprays the inside of the bucket and directs fuel onto the hydramats.

It's not my first rodeo tec I'm aware this is a bucketless setup. Hard to tell from your pics that there's a gap between the mat and the base of the bucket.

Forgive me, I wasn't trying to be offensive in my reply. I was trying my best to describe something without pictures.

In reference to the picture you attached, where you have partially removed the bottom mine is fully removed and part of the sides are also removed.

PC think if it as a U channel underneath so both mats go thru without touching the bucket but the sides of the bucket touch the tank floor
