You would have to contact him...but would you really want to haggle over $75 when anything similar would cost you more than double from some of these companies?

Would you send him over to this thread? Sticky is afraid of this site and censors all the links there.

No I definitely wouldn't at the end of the day to be honest.. I understand the value of putting someone else's baby together. They know all the little tips and tricks to get it just how it was meant to be.

So I'd have to say my only concern is sealing the top of the cap.. When you say that you cut a hole in the top and feed the wires through what seals it all back up?
When you fill up the fuel will destroy almost anything you use as a sealant

I made a small enough hole to get the wires through then sealed around them with JB Weld Steelstik. It is gas and ethanol resistant, even though you shouldnt have gas in contact with that part of the cap often, if ever.
If you want to do it another way then you can discuss that with Jose.

Just playing Devils advocate not trying to give you a hard time :)

No problem. I don't mind the questions.

Thats fair enough.. Just spending my whole life almost working for bmw I've seen more than enough leaks from the pump cap area.. Weather it be burnt pins and it leaks through the connector even micro fine cracks.. They set dmtl minor or major leaks basically a 2a15 fault.
I've never used the jb4 weld your talking g about so I don't know what kind job it can do.
Could you post pics of the cap, you think there is a way you could work it into the factory connector? IIRC maybe not the e9x but I do recall almost all pumps having spare pins or vacant spots on the harness end of the connector?.?.? That would be an excellent solution :)

I've used Steelstik on the inside of metal gas tanks to fill holes with success.

Like I said before, this is one possible option out of many that are possibly available. This a DIY solution so you can build on it and modify it anyway you like. I like your thought of using open pins idea...that would be sweet.

Interesting project, feel free to post pricing. I guess the next question after we see the price after some margin is added in; does that warrant going with this setup over an existing fuel-it, precision racing or now, PFS or boostaddictions(sp?)

Most don't know me but I started in this fuel stuff around 2013-2014 when Vinshu came out with over priced adapter for $500 and it was bs so I decided to make a similar adapter to run in series the stock pump along with a walbro 450 which I've been running since that time 100% e85 with RBs I hit 506whp 526tq on 18psi tuned by Terry. Then i went ST still running my setup on 23 psi 100% e85 tuned by Chris Kontos (CKI) I stayed at 23psi bc I was 6at but now did the 6MT swap of course with tons of help on the coding side from Kris Looney and Nick.

The point I would like to make is that the prices that have since been advertised are ridiculous! example- $400+ for a bucket=$50, a venturi that is no longer needed and outdated-$?, and a walbro that is $100....do the math.

Well my perspective is this unlike others with me you get what you pay for, in other words I don't mark up anything if a walbro costs $100 thats exactly what you pay. I don't charge the customer for going to a supplier and ordering fuel pumps. These holley hydramats are $161-+ i don't increase the price at all, and the hydramats are greatest thing since sliced bread this is why the venturi is not needed and outdated and decreases flow if used but hydramats increase the flow to the motor because none is wasted to keep the bucket full and 0 fuel starvation! If someone wants me to put a stage 2 or 3 together they more than welcome to buy everything as TEC (Rick) did and mail it to me the only thing I charge for are the hoses, clamps, the bracket, and lastly my time to assemble.

When I see bs I call it bs and if I can help I will! I apologize for my grammar ahead of time I'm incredibly tired but was told that maybe I should say a few words here...lol

So

580 dual assembled

306 single assembled

Is that out the door? Is it 75 less per assembly if I do it myself? That's great prices.. See I like this because now vendors have to get competitive.. They can't keep charging us out the wazoo as a BMW tax to the aftermarket world

Exactly this +100000000........

I believe you guys are talking about the holes at the very top of the bucket where I don't think fuel even reaches even when completely full unless maybe if your autox lol. The two small holes are exactly that barely large enough to squeeze the wires thru, for insurance purposes you could dab fuel resistant silicone but it's really a moot point.

Amen brother amen! I hate calling out powerful vendors and picking those fights.. I'm not a forum fighter! Lol
But call a spade a spade!
They are overpriced and hit with tons of bmw tax!
I'm behind you 100 percent and good luck with it all you seem to have a real legit set up on your hands and I see you putting them in the hands of lots of users!
The big n54 fueling company I understand has lots of overhead but still its just too taxed out!

Maybe I missed I somewhere but does the single 450 work in a bucket less fashion as the dual does? I'd have to assume using a hydro mat that the answer is yes?

Yes it would if you have the the bucketless already then add a hydramat $160.00 and find a way to have the fpr lines clamped to drench the mat, so there will be no question of starvation compared to running the walbro filter that comes with it. If you currently don't have the bucket-less then yeah just remove oem pump drop the walbro in and add the hydramat, clips are already there for the fpr lines and you're golden.

That answers some.. I guess since all the focus was on the dual set up I was kinda asking if I order the single what will I be getting?
I have a spare bucket I could always send it in to you.

Well you'd be looking at the cost of a walbro + hydramat then for clamps, hose, and my time is $25 you get it back ready for install with my cell# in case you have any questions.

What folks don't realize is that the cost for the stage 2 is a little over 300 but what you're getting is far better flowing product without the need for a Venturi which reduces flow, kinda counter productive if you ask me!
